President’s Place

I love the feeling of myadrenaline racing, so my bucket list consists of  bungee jumping, sky

diving, jet skiing, and soon.

I guess I can besomewhat of a daredevil,

 but even daredevils have

a kryptonite. Mine aresnakes (please don't

scare me during AprilFools) and mushy,

sensitive topics (I can bea crybaby).

I'm a busy bee, always onthe go, but sometimes Ilike to take life slow. My

favorite form of expression is throughwords, and I love poetry

slam though I haven't

exactly faced my fear of showing my work infront of a crowd.

I'm a second year, pre-

business major with awork hard, play hardmotto. I tend to makeweird expressions that

are not always under mycontrol, so if I ever look at you funny, then you

know why because Iprobably don't.

Hey everyone! My nameis Cindy Lu and I amCOSA'S 2010-2011treasurer! It is my

responsibilities tomaintain the group'sfinances, a lot of

background work, but Ican deal with it haha. I

am originally fromOakland, CA. I am asecond year intending toin major in Political

Science and PoliticalEconomy, but whoknows, I've been known

to switch majors everyminute, which isn't a bad

thing... I'll keep thisshort. Feel free to come

up to me and contact meabout whatevs, I tend to be quite opinionated!

KBYE!

My name is Nancy Mai andI am a second year with anintended major inEconomics, and my co-chair is Simone Johnson, who is athird year majoring

in Public Health with a

minor in City and RegionalPlanning. We bothgraduated from OaklandHigh School and we areproud to represent COSA asthe social co-chairs this year!As the Social chairs, we aim

to create atight-knot and sociablecommunity amongst the

scholars of this organization by planning andcoordinating social eventsthat will be fun for everyone. We want to give all scholarsa chance to relax when

school is causing us somuch stress and to allow usto interact in more intimatesettings thanwe’re used to in our classes,

so we can create a smallfamily here at Cal(Go Bears!). Some eventsinclude the Big C Hike, icecream socials, andmovie nights. Two other

programs that we are in

charge of are the Cal Palprogram and the newlycreated Family System. For the Cal Pal system,a newscholar will be matchedup with one of the

continuing scholars andwould bea mentee/little sister or

little brother to one of them.Your Cal Pal will be a supporting figure inyour academic first year atCal. Lastly, for theFamily System, we have

divided all of the newscholars into four differentfamilies, or groups, with twoheads that will be theparental figures in

each family. The parents areour very own officers so wewill be the onesleading each family with

separate family socials andget-togethers. Thisway, you will get to know

more people in a moreintimate and smaller setting by getting to knowyour own families. (Feel freeto recommendactivities and socials for

your family. something assimple as a froyo runto chill during the middle of the week).

Academic AbodeChristina Gee

Hi! You can call me Chris! I am a 3rd year Integrative Biology major minoring in Chemistry and

Education. Yup, I'm crazy about academics, but Ialso like to paddle, shoot hoops, and watch movies. Ireally believe that if you like what you're studyingthough, then everything is awesome. As your Academics Chair, I hope to provide you with THE

best resources, workshops, and advice to help you getthose 4.0s (or at least try and smile no matter whathappens). If you're ever stuck about anything school-related or you're feeling lazy and unsure about how toget started, shoot me an email. I'll be more thanhappy to help you out.
