➢ Drop-Off starts at 7:30 am
➢ Morning Assembly begins at 7:40 am
➢ Classes begin at 8:00 am
➢ Tardies will be recorded at 8:01 am for all students. 6 Tardies = 1 absence. Anything over 18 absences puts students at retention (excused or not)

Things to Know for the first weeks:▶ How do I order lunch: send ticket with your child or have money
in your lunch account. Please avoid sending cash with your child.
▶ Supplies: You may drop off supplies labeled with your child’s name and grade level at ECE
▶ Sections/Rosters: Shared at “Meet & Greet”. Students’ placement is done by the school staff. Requests based on teacher preference cannot be accommodated.
▶ What to expect on Aug. 14th: 30-minute presentations by grade level teams and Specials teachers
▶ Student Counselor: advocates for and supports students. She can speak to students as needed.
Things to Know for the first weeks:▶ Elementary Athletics: PE classes for KG-5th. We have an after school
program for 1st-5th. More information will be shared soon by our Athletic Director: Dr. Ali Abuhlaleh.
▶ Uniform Expectations/Vendor: All students are required to be in the right uniform. School uniform for KG-5th to be purchased at Academic Outfitters. Shirts for Pre-K to be purchased at BHA. 5th grade girls must wear a white hijab. 2nd-4th girls must bring a hijab for Salat.
▶ Dismissal/After care: Driveline tags & Student Pick-up Form to be picked up on Meet & Greet Day. Dismissal starts at 2:35 with Driveline. Students will be sent to aftercare at 3:05. Charges apply.
▶ Health/Checks: Immunization records must be up-to-date. Lice checks will be conducted the 1st two weeks of school (and the week after Winter Break)
Things to Know for the first weeks:▶ Homework: ELA & Math for 1st-4th, ELA, Math, & Science for 5th
grade. Reading Logs for English, Arabic, & Qura’n. Please check your child’s Planner/Weekly Newsletter & Sycamore.
▶ Salah Expectations: 2nd-5th grade pray Zuhr from Day 1. A kid-friendly Khutbah on Fridays. 1st Grade join after their Prayer Ceremony end of April. Girls must wear Hijab to Salat. 5th grade girls are required to wear hijab the whole time.
▶ Traffic: Traffic can be a hassle. Leave home early for drop off and come early for dismissal We appreciate your patience. Once tutoring and clubs start, the problem gets resolved.
▶ Clubs: Sing up Day on September 5th and clubs will start on September 16th.
▶ 5th Grade Math Info Session in September▶ Bring all outstanding forms as part of the enrollment process

Finance▶ Tuition is charged on the 10th
of each month for the next month
▶ Tuition is due on the 5th school day of the month
▶ Collection process initiated▶ If you’re experiencing
difficulty in making payments on time, an installment agreement can be created

Timely payments are needed so that we can be timely with
our operational costs.

Middle School- What’s new?★ IB- MYP Program will be implemented this year.
○ Subjects that are added are Arts (Visual and Performing), Design/Technology vs. Computers
○ 6 - 55 min periods a day
★ Middle school has been separated completely from high school- washrooms clearly identifiable
★ Dismissal will no longer be outside. All dismissal will be from classrooms via driveline
★ 2 new middle school athletic leagues (Islamic Schools’ League and Dallas Private Schools)
DismissalSafety Audit via Region 10 stated that dismissal was unsecure.
• Students in 6th-10th grade will be dismissed via Driveline from classrooms.
• Pick up Drive line tags from Front Desk
Aftercare starts promptly at 3:30pm- Grace is from 3-3:30pm. Charges apply after 3:30pm
Incentive ProgramBy Subject Only vs. All subjects
Criteria• Each subject must be 90% or more.• 9 Demerits or less / Semester• 5 Excused Absences or less / Semester• 5 Tardies or less/ quarter
Excused Absences and Tardies (morning) must be
submitted within 5 business days of absence.
Otherwise it will be considered an Unexcused
Absence = Disqualification from Incentive Program.
Incentive Program- exempt from Midterms or Finals if you meet the criteria

•Boys - Hair is not above ears. No tight pants.•Girls- Hijabs must be pinned. No neck, earrings, or hair showing. Middle school- 2 piece Amira hijab.Student may be asked to go home if they do not meet uniform code and repeated infractions may carry a higher demerit value
Middle school ScheduleMiddle School is following the Middle Years Program (MYP). 10 subjects
• 55 min blocks. Different bell schedule vs. HS (85 min)• Separate lunch/recess from HS/separate side of the building• Separate classrooms. Now in MS wing.
High School will resume with Grade 9 A/B alternating Block Schedule. Grade 10-12 Block Schedule with Friday 'C' Schedule.
Cell phones- FinesNo Cell phones in Hallways or classrooms unless under the supervision of a teacher. SMART Watches are not allowed on campus.• 1st Infraction- Confiscation for the day / Demerits - Parent Pickup• 2nd Infraction- Confiscation for the day/ Demerits- Parent Pick & $25 fine• 3rd Infraction- Confiscation & Loss of Privilege/ Demerits- Parent Pick & $50 fineRepeated infractions will carry a higher demerit value & Possible Suspensions.
Saturday Detentions /SuspensionsLevel II Infractions if repeated 3 or more times• Saturday Detention from 8am-11am- $50 Fee Level III Infractions if repeated 3 or more times• Saturday Detention from 8am- 2pm- $100 Fee If student earns an Out of School Suspension it will be served on Saturday from 8am-2pm- $100 Fee applies.Any violation that disturbs the learning of others- will result in student placement in the Alternative learning Room for that period.
