BLEU LINE is the Italy's leading trainer of professional pest controllers. All of our courses/workshops are in line with the high standard and industry guidelines for the training of those involved in pest control and IPM and are allocated points by basis and datas under their continuing professional development schemes.

BLEU LINE courses are modular and they can be used to train technicians in specifi c agreements or across the whole spectrum of pest control. Many companies use our courses as a refresher.

CHARACTERISTICS

MICROBAC X2 is a larvicide and the active principle is a toxin of natural origin that uses

highly selective actions against 30 species of mosquito larvae and many species of

black fl ies and chironomids. Among the mosquito species: Aedes, Ochlerotatus, Ano-

pheles, Culex, Culiseta, Uranotaenia.

The most aff ected larvae are the youngest as they are more active.

When the larva swallows the toxin, it breaks up inside the intestine and causes paralysis

followed by death within a few hours. Total pest control is achieved within 24 hours

from application.

DOSAGE AND USE

Mosquitoes: in clean waters, retting pits and other irrigated fi elds, ponds, ditches, salt

marshes, small lakes, any type of area where rain water stagnates (including fl ower pot

saucers) 1/2 litre per hectare.

In polluted waters like culverts, sewers, drains, any type of stagnation (including used

tyres deposits and wrecks of any type) 1 litre per hectare

To prepare the mixture, shake the container well before use, partially fi ll the dispen-

ser’s tank, add the suitable amount of MICROBAC X2, mix and fi ll the tank completely.

The mixture should be used on the same day of preparation. Use standard sprinkling

equipment to proceed to application, using the suitable amount of water to guarantee

coverage.

For overhead treatments, use the same dosage; dilution shall depend on the overhead

tool used and on its sprinkling system. The use of such kind of tools shall be limited to

rice-fi elds and other mosquito larvae breeding grounds that are particularly wide and

diffi cult to reach by land.

Black fl ies

Apply MICROBAC X2 upstream with respect to the larvae position, 1.5-2 mg of prepara-

tion per litre of fl owing water, per minute. Apply for ten-fi fteen minutes.

Validity: 18 month.

CHARACTERISTICS:

GREEN LARV Tabs are concentrated insecticide/larvicide in tabs. It is based on

Dyfl ubenzuron and acts during a special stage of insect lives, i.e. the transition from larva

or pupa into adult insects, interferring with the external protective tissue formation and

preventing the individual normal development, thus causing its death.

ACTION RANGE:

GREEN LARV Tabs insecticide/larvicide has a wide range of action against arthropods,

and it is especially eff ective against dipterans and lepidopterons. If used at the right time

and in the correct way, it proves very selective against predators and hyper-parasites.

It is particularly safe for other animal species and contains no phytotoxic substance.

The special tab formulation makes GREEN LARV Tabs safe and easy to use. In pest control

against mosquitoes, simuliidae and chironomidae it will be enough to spread the tabs

into the infested water, since this is a ready-to-use pre-dosed product.

In fact, this product is recommended when the use of the liquid or powder formulations

proves diffi cult.

ACCORDING TO THE WATER POLLUTION DEGREE, WE RECOMMEND THE

FOLLOWING DOSES IN CLEAN WATERS: 1 g. 2 tabs each 1,200/1,600 l

TOXICITY:

The Dyfl ubenzuron is an active molecule with such an action mechanism that it shows

includes no solvent or chemical organic aggregant, which reduces the actual toxicity to

CHARACTERISTICS:

FLUBEXTM 15 Flow does not contain solvents; the active principle is formulated in water

and therefore does not pollute the treated environment. FLUBEX 15 EC Flow acts during

a special stage of insect lives, i.e. the transition from larva or pupa into adult insects,

interfering with the external protective tissue formation and preventing the individual

normal development, thus causing its death.

WAY OF EMPLOYMENT:

FLUBEXTM 15 Flow must be further diluted using the quantities of product listed below

in such water volumes as to cover the infested water surfaces evently.

The solution thus prepared must be applied using sprinklers where insect breeding

grounds are more likely to develop such as lakes, stagnant waters, swamps, ditch and

canal banks, sewers, water drains, damp places in general.

Repeat disinfestation operations as described above at least every 4 weeks.

The formulation is harmless for useful insects; therefore, prevention treatment is

recommended in order to act on insect eggs too.

OVITRAP MONITORING TRAP OF AEDES ALBOPICTUS (MOSQUITO TIGER).

OVITRAP is a device which consists of a black cylinder with a piece of wood “masonite”. This device is used to control the aedes mosquito population. It can monitor, control and detect aedes mosquito populations thus acting as an early warning signal to pre-empt any impending dengue outbreaks.

The black OVITRAP attracts female mosquitoes to lay their eggs. When the eggs hatch and develop into adults, they cannot fl y out of the device and die inside the trap.

Analysis can be done on the OVITRAP breeding data collected weekly to identify mo-squito breeding hotspots and risk areas when there is a danger of high Aedes Aegypti infestation. Three OVITRAP models had been developed to analyse the OVITRAP bree-ding data collected. The analysis results are used to plan vector surveillance and con-trol operations.

TemephosTEMEPHOS INSECTICIDE-LARVICIDE TO CONTROL THE MOSQUITO LARVAE

Available only for productions on application and for the countries where the Ministry of the Public Health allows the use and the registration.

FEATURES TEMEPHOS is an insecticide available liquid and tablets ready mentioned in the fi ght against larvae and pupae of each species of mosquitoes and chironomids.

RANGE OF APPLICATION TEMEPHOS is used for treatment of all outbreaks of infection such as wetlands and marshes, swamps, puddles, channels, drains and ditches, road drains, culverts roads, wells and any other collection of rain standing water or slow fl owing. TEMEPHOS at doses not fi shtoxic employment, acting at very low unit dose and action maintains a persistent residual in water fi rm, an action that is progressively reduced when waters undergo a change more or less fast. Since the presence of high loads in the water organic can decrease the eff ectiveness of the product, double or triple the recommended dosage case of: ponds, swamps, marshes, sewers, drains.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Biocide, for the fi ght against the larvas of mosquito, base Methoprene in granules.

Its mechanism of action consists of interfering onto regulate development of the larval

cycle of the mosquito. The active principle of Altogran, in fact, produces morphological

eff ects that prevent the adult bug to emerge from the pupa. The granular form allows

to gradually free the product so that could have a constant and durable control in the

various stadiums of development of the larva of mosquito.

FIELD OF EMPLOYMENT:

It can eff ectively be used for the treatments against the larvae of mosquitos in civil,

industrial, agricultural use.

WAY OF EMPLOYMENT:

1-4 grams for m2 of surface to be treated in operation of the water’s (from 25 cm to 1

mt.) depth with the purpose to prevent the possible development of mosquitos.

It can also be used for surfaces subject to periodic submersion or occasional. The doses

to use in the case of ample surfaces are around 15-20 Kg for hectare.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Biocide based on the association of two synthetic pyrethroids, synergized permethrin

and tetramethrin, granting a quick killing action and weeks long residual action.

APPLICATION FIELD:

Permex 22E is eff ective against fl ies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, beetles and troublesome

insects, ants, fl eas, ticks, bugs, spiders. It can be used eff ectively in the following fi elds:

Public health: pest control in civil, industrial and rural buildings, urban and sea centers,

camping grounds, communities, hotels. Treatments against mosquitoes, larvae and

winged insects in the sewers.

Food industry: treatments in warehouses and working areas.

WAY OF EMPLOYMENT:

Permex 22 E™ has to be mixed with water when used, at the following ratios: against

larvae: 0.2% (20 cc in 10 L water), against winged insects: 1% (100 cc in 10 L water).

These solutions shall be spread using manual pressure pumps or motor driven mist

blowers at the ratio of one liter per 10 sqm. Permex 22 E™ can be mixed with naphtha,

ETOFENBLU presents a broad spectrum of activity and allows you to contain the infestation

Simulidae, wasps, chironomids,as crawling like ants, cockroaches, silverfi sh, weevils, larvae

of the fl our, beetles, termites that commonly infest the home, civil, industrial and livestock

resorts, restaurants, canteens, transport, farms, stables, animal shelters, kennels, compost

heaps, waste dumps). The product can be eff ectively used to control mosquitoes commonly

nest in green areas, hedges, bushes, tree-lined streets, lawns. We advised not to use the product

on plants intended for agricultural or otherwise human and animal consumption(farms,

stables, animal shelters, kennels, compost heaps, waste dumps).

ETOFENBLU doesn’t leave odor and does not damage the surfaces with which it can come

into contact. When used on very porous and absorbent surfaces it is recommended that test

on a small area.

METHOD AND DOSAGES

ETOFENBLU is used for irrigation after dilution in water, by means of pressure pumps

or spray using 1 liter of solution per 10 square meters, at a dose of 0.5 - 1.5% (50-150 ml/10

liters of water) in relation to the parasite and to control the degree of infestation.

We recommend using the solution prepared by the day, as described below.

In open-air treatments to control mosquitoes, sand fl ies, wasps, chironomids, ants, use

dilutions at 0.5-1% (50-100 ml/10 gallons), against insects crawlies, fl ies, use a dose of 1-1,

5% (100-150 ml/10 liters of water), using fl ies on the highest dose and in case of heavy

infestations. In treatments of vegetation to control mosquitoes and mosquito tiger common

use a dose of 50 ml/10 liters of water, providing a uniform wetting of the vegetation but

avoid dripping. In treatments indoors or in animal shelters and food industries to control

infestations of cockroaches, scorpions, spiders, larvae of the fl our to apply dilution to 1%

(100 ml/10 liters of water). For use on the fl y using a dose of 150 ml/10 liters of water. Apply

prepared solution areas (walls, corners), other infested furniture, etc.. Do not treat materials

or fabrics that are in direct contact with people. Repeat the treatment if necessary, according

to infestation of its development cycle and environmental conditions.

CHARACTERISTICS:

MICROFLY is a concentrated insecticide. Its active principle (cypermethrin) is contained

in water dispersed microspheres (capsules) without solvents. Micro encapsulation

grants the formulation a long persistence, the absence of unpleasant odor and a safer

use. The product preserves these conditions during transport, storage and preservation,

thus preserving the active principle physical and chemical characteristics. The a.p.

gradual, constant and extended release starts after the product has been applied on

the treated surfaces.

APPLICATION FIELD:

MICROFLY is eff ective against fl ying insects, like mosquitoes, Asian tiger mosquitoes,

fl ies, wasps, horsefl ies, chironimids, fl eas, ticks, dermestes, weewills, black fl ies, moths,

lasiodermas, and creeping insects like cockroaches, ants, silverfi sh, weevils, beetles,

and termites. It can be eff ectively used for insect control in civil, industrial, agricultural

and farming buildings, warehouses, rail wagons, and means of transport. In indoor

areas it is especially suitable for application on room walls, where fl ies and creeping

insects can easily hide. At the same time, it is aff ective against mosquitoes with mainly

haemophil habits. By targeted treatments on cracks, fi ssures, fl oor interstices, as well

as on door and window frames, the product fl ushes and exterminates cockroaches

eff ectively, and prevents ant infestation. The product is eff ective also for the control of

mosquitoes in green areas like hedges, gardens, tree-lined roads, ornamental bushes

and grass meadows.

WAY OF EMPLOYMENT:

Shake the product well before using. Fill half container with water, then, while keeping

stirring, add the required product. Add water to reach the level. The solution must be

sprinkled on the surfaces and not in the air.

Against fl ies and mosquitoes:

the product must be water diluted at the ratio of 0.5-1% (500-1,000 ml each 100 liter

water), according to the infestation degree, then it must be sprinkled over wall surfaces,

windows, windowsills and green areas, where insects stop and hide.

Against cockroaches, beetles, and creeping insects:

sprinkle by pressure pump on those places where they usually live, like cracks, fi ssures,

skirting boards, fl oor edges, toilets, etc. The initial dilution must be of 2% at least (20 g

per water liter). If the application has been made correctly, the product residual action

is long. Do not wash the treated surfaces and repeat the treatment at 1% (10 g per

water liter).

WAY OF EMPLOYMENT:

Cockroaches will feed on BLATTOXURTM immediately after application. A 30g cartridge

signs of intoxication with acetamiprid may be seen after ten minutes with knockdown

of the cockroaches after few hours.

Dead cockroaches should be evident within 24 hours of treatment. Maximum levels of

control are achieved between 6 days and several months after treatment depending

upon the level of infestation and as long as the gel is present. The bait is passed from

one cockroach to another resulting in a sort of domino eff ect.

BLATTOXURTM readily adheres to clean surfaces. It stays where it is placed and does not

run even at temperatures up to 50°. Once applied the gel resists drying and remains

soft and palatable to cockroaches over extended periods of time.

You knew that...Cimicidae or bed bugs (sometimes bedbugs), are small parasitic insects. The most common type is Cimex lectularius. The term

usually refers to species that prefer to feed on human blood. All insects in this family live by feeding exclusively on the blood

of warm-blooded animals.

A number of health eff ects may occur due to bed bugs including skin rashes, psychological eff ects and allergic symptoms.

Diagnosis involves both fi nding bed bugs and the occurrence of compatible symptoms. Treatment is otherwise symptomatic.

In the developed world, bed bugs were largely eradicated as pests in the early 1940s, but they have increased in prevalence

since about 1995. Because of infestation of human habitats has been on the increase, bed bug bites and related conditions

have been on the rise as well. The exact causes of this resurgence remain unclear; it is variously ascribed to greater foreign

travel, more frequent exchange of second-hand furnishings among homes, a greater focus on control of other pests resulting

in neglect of bed bug countermeasures, and increasing resistance to pesticides. Bed bugs have been known as human

parasites for thousands of years.

The name “bed bug” comes from the insect’s preferred habitat of houses and especially beds or other areas where people

sleep. Bed bugs, though not strictly nocturnal, are mainly active at night and they are capable of feeding unnoticed on their

hosts. They have however been known by a variety of names including wall louse, mahogany fl at, crimson rambler, heavy

dragoon, chinche and redcoat.

Bed bugs are obligatory hematophagous (bloodsucking) insects. Most species feed on humans only when other prey are

unavailable. Bed bugs are attracted to their hosts primarily by carbon dioxide, secondarily by warmth and also by certain

chemicals.

A bed bug pierces the skin of its host with two hollow feeding tubes shaped like tongues. With one tube it injects its saliva,

which contains anticoagulants and anesthetics, while with the other withdraws the blood of its host. After feeding for about

fi ve minutes, the bug returns to its hiding place. It takes between fi ve to ten minutes for a bed bug to become completely

engorged with blood.

Although bed bugs can live for a year without feeding, they normally try to feed every fi ve to ten days. In cold weather, bed

bugs can live for about a year; at temperatures more conducive to activity and feeding, about 5 months.

At the 57th Annual Meeting of the Entomological Society of America in 2009, newer generations of pesticide-resistant bed

bugs in Virginia were reported to survive only two months without feeding.

DNA from human blood meals from bed bugs can be recovered for up to 90 days, which may allow them to be used for

forensic purposes for identifying on whom the bed bugs have been feeding.

Behaviour & habitBed Bugs live in clusters – they aggregate.

They prefer to living as close as possible to their host.

They feed mostly at night when their host is asleep.

Nymphs become engorged with blood within 3 minutes, adult bed bugs usually feed for 10 to 15 minutes.

They hide during the day in dark, protected sites.

They seem to prefer fabric, wood and paper surfaces.

They can move fairly quickly and they can easily hide in cracks less than 1 mm.

Initially they are found in the tufts, seams and fold of mattresses – later they travel to the box spring and headboards.

In heavier infestations they hide in areas farther away from the bed – door frames, electrical boxes, fl oor cracks, fi re

alarms, baseboards, furniture, under the tack board for carpeting, picture frames, drapery pleats and loosened wall paper.

This Electric Knapsack features a 12 Ltr tank capacity and it has the ability of set

controlled individual dosage. Two working options: continuous spray, with pressure

regulation achieved via the green control, or dosifi ed spray, by setting the black control

to the timer position. Variable pressure, from 0 to 5 bar (Elegance 18 plus) and from 0

to 3 bar (Elegance 18). Battery protection by warning light. The pump will not operate

until the battery is recharged. 12-volt battery which can be recharged at least 500 times

and low consumption level. Ergonomic tank, light and resistant, with a handle and

lance hook to facilitate transport and storage.

Smooth operating handle which also works as a switch, fi tted with an easy to clean

fi lter and a fi xed position for continuous spraying.

Electronic card, giving the sprayer a greater range of use. It prolongs the life of the

pump by suiting consumption to the pressure at which it is operating.

The Turbo ULV is a portable, electrically operated pneumatic cold fogger. Its high

SOLVENT P is a base solvent isoparaffi nic used as diluent of liquid insecticides concentrated.

Generally indoors, preferring dry nesting locations. Limited home range, with foraging activities rarely above several meters from nest site. Nests are usual-

ly situated in close proximity to food sources. Nests are generally made of shredded paper and other materials present in the local environment.

BIOLOGY

Distinguished from rats by small size and from young rats by it's larger ears and longer tail. Little or no new object avoidance behaviour (neophobia).

Nocturnal forager with a preference for grains and seeds. Longevity: 6 - 12 months, the maximum reproductive potential for 1 breeding pair being

approximately 2000!

PEST STATUS

Widespread and relatively cosmopolitan, this species is a frequent pest of homes and industrial sites. Urinating frequently and feeding from multiple

sites, food spoilage and the spread of disease is closely associated with M. domesticus.

CONTROL

The combined use of monitoring equipment, baits and physical control methods where appropriate is recommended. Bait formulation is an impor-

tant factor, due to the high specifi city of food selection by this species.

COMMON RAT (Rattus norvegicus)

HABITAT

Often found beside water, on the banks of streams and ditches. Sewers also provide habitat and access to street level feeding areas, particularly in

cities.

BIOLOGY

Excellent senses of touch, taste, smell and hearing. Poor vision. Active burrower. Strong swimmer. New object wary (Neophobia). Food sources include

garbage in urban areas and cereal or root crops in arable areas.

PEST STATUS

Main UK rat pest species. Increasingly important in urban areas, this specie has adapted readily to environments with close proximity to large human

populations. Also problematic when newly introduced on small islands.

CONTROL

Usually involves use of well protected anticoagulant bait. Other means may be used, such as acute baits or physical control methods. Monitoring is

also critical for successful management of common rat populations.

BLACK RAT (Rattus rattus)

Restricted in modern times in the UK to only a few areas. When found in buildings, the Black rat is most often sighted on roofs. Pipes, cables and beams

Excellent senses of touch, taste, smell and hearing. Poor vision. Agile and active climber. Omnivorous, with a preference for fruit, nuts, grains and

vegetables. Usually eats 25 - 28g per day. Historically associated with shipping, this specie is decreasingly prominent in the UK.

PEST STATUS

Greatly decreased in western Europe in modern times. This is most likely due to competition from increasing populations of R. Norvegicus which has

been increasing it's distribution over the same period.

CONTROL

When necessary, means of control are similar to those for R. norvegicus.

ANTICOAGULANTS

Anticoagulants have been the turning point in the fi ght to the murid.

The reason of their success is tied to the delay in their action occurs, the absence of special fl avors, with the low dose to use

and there is a specifi c antidote.

Anticoagulants used for the production of rodenticide baits all belong chemically to 2 categories: coumarins and in-

dandiones.

Their mechanism of action is still similar act in the liver as vitamin K antagonists by interferring with the synthesis of

coagulation factors of blood vitamin K-dependent. The toxicity of diff erent anticoagulant molecules is mainly due to

their diff erent ability to be metabolically degraded and removed with the feces or urine. Their work begins at least 3

days after ingestion, causing internal bleeding which weaken the animal.

The weakness is that the animal reduces its activity and instead remains in its burrow. Vitamin K1 is the antidote to all

anticoagulants.

PAY ATTENTION: The rapidity of action of anticoagulants is variable from a minimum 2/3 days to a maximum 12/15 days.

MAIN INGREDIENTS:

BROMADIOLON

Second generation effi cient even with two small ingestion of bait. It is the most widely used active ingredient in Europe.

Suitable for the disinfection of all murid pests.

DIFENACOUM

It is usually with effi cient two small ingestion of bait. It is an active ingredient with a selectivity among the highest, in

fact, it turns out to be toxic in mice and rats and a little less on pets.

FLOCOUMAFEN

The active ingredient rodenticide that acts by interfering with the mechanism of blood clotting. It belongs to the group

of second-generation anticoagulants and, unlike traditional rodenticides, it has an activity that can result in death from

internal bleeding of the rodent within a period of three to ten days following a single ingestion. This will prevent the

emergence of distrust of the bait from the other members of the colony.

BRODIFACOUM

Powerful anticoagulant. It acts like other anticoagulants active, but when ingested it has a capacity to resist degradation

much higher, so even a single ingestion is fatal to all strains resistant to anticoagulants currently known murid.

The amount of bait needed to get the Brodifacoum, the lethal dose is very small and corresponds to less than 5% of daily

food intake for both the rat in the rat.

CHARACTERISTICS:

BRODIBLEU is a rodenticide bait eff ective against various species of rodents: common mice, black and sewer

rats, etc. It is eff ective also against those rodents that are resistant to common anticoagulant rodenticides.

One ingestion is enough to cause death and the product is eff ective even in small doses. Once it has ingested

the formulation, the rodent dies slowly of internal hemorrhage, without alerting the other components of

the colony. BRODIBLEU is used in the following places: houses, dumps, holds, sewers, barracks, warehouses,

gardens, containers, freight cars, depots in general, food industries, drains, gutters, etc. BRODIBLEU contains

denatonium benzoate as bittering component in order to minimize the risk of children and non-target

animals’ ingestion.

WAY OF EMPLOYMENT:

BRODIBLEU must be used in the following doses:

- against rats: put about 20-30 g bait in the containers and place them every 8-10 m.

CIVIL USE.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Flocoumafen interferes with blood coagulation. Second generation anticoagulants and unlike traditional

anticoagulant rodenticides. It is eff ective after a single feed, causing mice and rats death after 7-10 days. This

mode of action prevents fellow rodents from becoming suspicious towards the baits.

The rodents that have fed on Flocoumableu tend to lose their sense of orientation and therefore they move

away from the place where have taken the bait.

The presence of denatonium benzoate in the product gives the bait a bitter taste which reduces the risk of

accidental swallowing.

WAY OF EMPLOYMENT:

Place 2-3 baits in bait dispensing boxes or in other devices that protect the baits and discourage consumption

by non-target animals. The baits must be placed in the infested places, close to their feeding sites if possible

or, alternatively, along walls, along rodents’ tracks, close to their furrows, in corners and under stacks of

materials. Check the baits every 6-7 days and integrate them or renew them if necessary. Dead rodents

must be burnt or buried to avoid secondary poisoning events. The presence of baits should be signalled by

warning signs.

The “Birdex Spike System” is a spike system, based on an age-old principle and grown from experience.

In-depth material research and technological perfection have made it the most multifunctional bird repelling system, off ering a

variety of advantages under all normal conditions. It is a simple modular system consisting of some handy basic elements.

Each unit consists of a 25cm-long narrow polycarbonate strip, with fl exible springy spikes made of stainless steel (Aise 302) every

5 cm, welded stress-free onto the strip, thus preventing the spikes from coming off . The scientifi cally developed materials are

extremely durable and retain their shape, but fl exible. These properties allow the strips to be placed on curved surfaces without

any problem.

The polycarbonate used is UV-resistant and free of stress-cracking. In addition, this polycarbonate is crystal clear, making it

virtually invisible from a distance.

Thanks to the breaking lines, the elements can be easily divided into smaller units, without loss of quality. Of course these materials

and their assembly guarantee an exceptional durability. This also implies a real economic added value.

The existence of various types enhances the multifunctionality: a strip with one (T1), with two (T2) or even 4 rows of spikes (T4).

The strips are glued, nailed or screwed onto all possible landing and resting places of birds. On broader surfaces two or more

strips are placed next to each other. To protect against smaller birds, the distance between the spikes can be reduced to 2,5 cm

by overlapping the strips.

The springy, blunt spikes prevent birds from landing on treated surfaces, without causing any injuries.

This makes the system particularly animal friendly.

Especially: the system can be placed with such speed and easy that any professional, and even handy do-it-yourselfers, can do it

eff ortlessly. Additionally, the quick placement ensures signifi cant savings.

The conclusion is simple: with its well-considered concept, the “Birdex Spike System” is the optimum solution in 85% or more of

the situations where protection against birds on buildings is necessary and useful.

To ensure a correct and effi cient installation of Birdex, a number of factors must be considered.

First of all, it is important to know which animals exactly are a nuisance.

If small birds, such as starlings, are a nuisance, the strips must overlap, resulting in a distance of only 2,5 cm between the spikes.

For pigeons, gulls and other large birds the distance is 5 cm.

Furthermore the surface must be structurally sound and clean. This implies that the surface must be thoroughly cleaned and

decontaminated. Any damage must be repaired and refi nished fi rst.

To place the strips it is not necessary to use specifi cally suited for the application but only a neutral silicon alcolic adhesive. This

technique is suited for any sound dust- and grease-proof surface. In any case, make sure the spikes are always fl ush with the edge

of the surface (on the sides as well!), or protrude a little. Under no circumstances the bird protection must be placed away from

the edge. This could leave room for birds to land regardless of the strips and cause damage to the system.

When the necessary attention is paid to the preliminary study and installation instructions, the Birdex Spike System off ers a safe

and particularly durable protection for a clean and agreeable environment.

Birdex also ensures that buildings, monuments or objects keep their value longer and that renovations or restorations do not

go to waste. After all, when a bird repelling system is forgone, it often happens that signifi cant investments in renovation or

restoration works are no longer noticeable, even after a very short time.

MECHANICAL PROPERTIES

m2 at 23°C. The springs are U- or hook-shaped depending on the type. The straight end of the springs is perpendicular to the

connecting strips. The type with a double row of springs (T2) is formed by three successive angles of 120°C. With regard to the

type with a single row of springs (T1), this hook-shaped spring is formed by two successive angles of 120 °C.

The blunt top of the springs is at least 110 mm above the surface. The springs have a diameter of 1,3 mm and they are made of

stainless steel class 302 / type 18,8.

This type of metal has a very high resistance to metal fatigue and a particularly high tensile strength and resilience.

ASSEMBLY

The springs are mounted stress-free in the polycarbonate supports by means of an ultrasonic welding process. This unique weld

prevents the springs from coming off of the Birdex Spike System strip. The weld is made in such a manner that the spring, where

it is fastened to the seat of the support, it is encased in polycarbonate over its entire circumference, without any stress between

both materials. Stress-cracking is thus ruled out.

It is a liquid product assembled specifi c for the employment in the equipment wheelie-

bin washer to use in the public company that collect trush and road washing.

CHARACTERISTIC:

It is one complex formulation composed in association balanced of natural synthetic

essences, composed disintegrators of the organic odors, quaternary of ammonium,

seizing. It doesn’t contain caustic substances.

CASSONET doesn’t make foam, it doesn’t attach metals, rubbers, plastic subjects, it

doesn’t introduce toxicity and it is of easy employment.

The precise purpose of this product is to disintegrate the residual unpleasant odors,

leaving road mantle and cleansed wheelie-bin, disinfected and with a persistent

perfuming, also developing at the same time a notable repellent action against the

fl ies.

Doses and formality of employment:

CASSONET, being a product composed with high content of asset, is particularly

suitable to directly be sprinkled inside the wheelie-bin in the fi nal phase of washing.

Naturally it can also be used on the total volume of the contained water in the car.

THE QUANTITIES OF EMPLOYMENT ARE THE FOLLOWINGS:

- for fi nal applications: dilute the product in reason for the 5% ca. (50 g for liter of water)

and inside the wheelie-bin this solution in reason for 200-400 g.

- for applications on the total volume or use of high pressure cleaners: the product

develops a good activity diluted in water to the 1% (10 g for liter of water).

- for applications on the road mantle: dilute the product to the 1-3% according to the

desired intensity.

The product is stable and it can keep unchanged for long time.
