Activity Adults 2014–15 :

• 614,747 adults 65+ • 83,100 adults assessed • 73,900 adults receiving services - 82% in the community and 18% in care

homes.• 22,157 were aged between 18 and 64; • 28,975 were aged 65-84; • 22,768 aged over 85.

• 23,000 adults were receiving home care Stats Wales

Activity Children 2014 -15

• 555,000 Children aged 0-15

• 35,400 referrals during the year.

• 27,200 initial assessments were completed. 76% completed within 7 (working) days of referral

• 81% of children of required Core assessments completed within 35 days

• 2,936 children on Child Protection Registers (31 March 2015)

• 31% of children on CPRs for less than 3 months

• 16 per cent of children had been on registers for more than 12 months.Stats Wales

Dewis Cymru - an exercise in cooperation

• What is it?

• information website - providing accessible up to date information

• Easy way for people search for local information, advice and assistance relevant to their requirements

• Product of a partnership between the Social Services Improvement Agency, Local Government Data Unit and the North Wales Single Point of Access network.

• Ongoing discussions NHS ‘111’ to confirm potential linkages with Dewis Cymru

• Website helping LAs to discharge information and advice duties under the Social Services & Wellbeing (Wales) Act.

In-built management information controls

• Journalists (those who register to add resources to the site) cannot publish any information

• Editors are provided with guidelines to about what are acceptable standards for published information

• Editors will be assigned specific areas of interest – e.g. 'care homes’. Only this editor(s) will be able to publish resources with this classifica

• The website’s ‘feedback’ mechanisms will include being able to comment and ‘star rate’ a resource
