O’Kon Sr., who died June 3, 2017. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Patrick Kaditus, she was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Peckville, and a graduate of Scranton Techni- cal High School. She enjoyed her pet Labradors and visit- ing with her neighbors and friends. Surviving are a daughter, Madge Dombrosky and hus- band, Gene, Vandling; son, Raymond O’Kon Jr., Peck- ville; a granddaughter, Emily Ann O’Kon, Vandling; a sister, Mary Ann Gouveia, Bridge- port, Conn.; a brother, Cas Kaditus, New Jersey; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by a son, David R. O’Kon. The funeral was Thursday, August 8 with Mass in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peck- ville. Lumber River Quartet at Finch Hill Baptist Church Aug. 23 Bernadette Slick Forest City Bernadee Slick, 94, of Forest City, died Tuesday evening, August 6, 2019 at Allied Hospice, Scranton. Born in Forest City, daughter of the late Cle- tus and Thelma Rynearson Doolile. Graduate of For- est City High School class of 1942 and graduate of the Realtor’s Institute. She was a Realtor-Broker of Bernadee Slick Real Estate Agency, and a member of the Scranton Board of Realtors. She retired in 1988 after 23 years in busi- ness. Bernadee was the author of a book called “A Century in America”, an American Saga, published in 1995 with the commemmoration of the Forest City Mine Memorial. Also, published “The Slick Family History” - (1892- 1992). She completed family histories for Doolile-Doyle, Rynearson-States and the Kersavage family. Copies are in the Forest City Historical Society. Bernadee also published three other books, 2006, en- titled: “Weeding Carrots” (Lost Art of the Small Farm), “Grandma Collects Stones”, and “Grandma Reflects on Life”. Surviving are a son Joseph E. Slick and his wife Reyna, Forest City; two sisters Do- lores Carra, Browndale; and Thelma Wright, Elkins Park; two brothers, Arthur Doo- lile, Kingsley; and James Doolile, Newfield, NY; five grandsons, William A Slick, III, Union Dale; Edward J. Slick, Herrick Center; Jerome Slick, Great Bend; Anthony Slick, Forest City; and Joseph Slick, Jr., Forest City; grand- daughter Cherul Lynn Slick Dragne, Forest City; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, William Slick in 1974 and Edward Slick in 1998, a daughter Ber- nadee in 1946 and two sons, William Slick, Jr. in 1997 and an infant Cletus Nelson Slick in 1963. Also two broth- ers, Cletus “Buddy” in 1937 and William “Joe” Doolile in 1999; a sister Julie Ann Tomazin in 2015. Bernadee was an ardent collector of gems and min- erals, designer of beautiful flower gardens and orna- mental displays in her yard. She loved real estate and en- joyed the challenge of restor- ing old homes in the Forest City area. Funeral Services were Sat- urday, August 10 from the Kevin M. Wiseman Montrose Unadine L. (Collum) Wiseman, 89 of Montrose, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, after a long- fought bale with Lym- phoma. Her husband of 59 years, Walter Wiseman, died on February 23, 2008. Born on October 21, 1929 to the late Homer and Laura Collum, she was raised on a farm in Union Dale until 1949 when she married Wal- ter. They owned and operat- ed their own farm until 1972. Active with Republican Women, Unadine served as President for many years, and worked at poll- ing places on election days. Also active in the United Methodist Church, she was one of the “church chicks.” Unadine was prede- ceased by her sisters, Alber- ta Huff, and Hilda Ramer; brother Mahlon Collum; and her special friend, Harold “Bert” Benne. She is survived by her son, Chuck Wiseman and fian- cee Audrey Kasen, daugh- ter and son-in-law Vickie and George Smith, daughter Beth Lawrence and com- panion, Bob Oakes. A Testament to Dad - Eugene “Gene” Cicco From his Children In Loving Memory David Stark 1968 - 2012 David Charles Stark is remembered today and every day with tons of love by his mom (Alice), his family, and his friends. David was the only son of Bill and Alice Feddock’s second daughter. He was Bill’s second grandson, born in Carbondale, PA, on Dec. 4, 1968. Although David and his mother moved to California when he was a child, he spent many summers in Forest City with his grandparents at their home on Delaware Street. David enjoyed music, hiking, and fishing with his gramps. His friends remember him for his kindness, great sense of humor and the way he made everyone feel comfortable. David died at his apartment in San Bernardino, CA, on August 16, 2012, age 43. He lives on in our hearts and memories. David wanted to be buried next to his grandfather. His memorial stone is now in place at St. Agnes Cemetery near the graves of Bill and Alice Feddock. 82, of Peckville, died Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Wayne Me-morial Hospital, Honesdale. She was the wife of Raymond E. O’Kon Sr., who died June 3, 2017.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Patrick Kaditus, she was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Peckville, and a graduate of Scranton Techni-cal High School. She enjoyed her pet Labradors and visit-ing with her neighbors and friends.

Montrose

Unadine L. (Collum) Wiseman, 89 of Montrose, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, after a long-fought battle with Lym-phoma. Her husband of 59 years, Walter Wiseman, died on February 23, 2008.

David Charles Stark is remembered today and every day with tons of love by his mom (Alice),

his family, and his friends. David was the only son of Bill and Alice Feddock’s second daughter. He was Bill’s second grandson,

born in Carbondale, PA, on Dec. 4, 1968. Although David and his mother moved to California

when he was a child, he spent many summers in Forest City with his grandparents at their

David enjoyed music, hiking, and fishing with his gramps. His friends remember him for his kindness,

Equinunk Hist. Soc. Annual Meeting Aug. 17

The Equinunk Historical Society, EHS, will hold its An-nual Meeting on Saturday, Au-gust 17, beginning at noon. All members should try to attend as a quorum is needed to con-duct the business of the orga-nization. Please bring a plate of refreshments to share.

Pancake Break-fast in Lookout Sun., Aug. 18

The Pine Mill Community Hall, 919 Pine Mill Rd. near Lookout, PA will hold its monthly Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, August 18, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. On the menu: Cheddar cheese omelets or eggs the way you like them, pan-cakes, plain or blueberry, sausage, home fries, apple sauce, orange or apple juice, and coffee or tea. Adults: $9.00, children 10 and un-der, half portion, 4.00, children un-der 4, free. Pine Mill Rd. runs from Rte. 371 in Rileyville to the center of Equinunk, PA. The Hall is ap-proximately half way between those points.
