Final thoughts...From the Desk of Executive Director Paul Steffens:

As you take time to review this SNAPSHOT of some of our April program events, I

hope you notice a couple of things in addition to the actual event activities. The firstthing to notice is that all the events are focused on familiesevents that facilitate and

enhance family bonding. Why this emphasis on family bonding? Basically, we focus

on strengthening that bonding to ensure a solid home environment and to reinforce to

military families that the ASYMCA STANDS READYTO ASSIST FAMILIES WHEN THE

NEED ARISES. We feel strongly that family readiness enhances military readiness.

We want every military service member to be assured that, when he or she isdeployed, that the ASYMCAStands ready to provide assistance when needed so

the service member can focus on his or her mission. I was very encouraged recently

when a military spouse told me how much our programs for children helped her cope

with deployment separation. Another thing to note is that we partner with

numerous agencies to ensure assistance can be provided to meet military family

needs. Also, please note that we have the strong community support, such as WellsFargo Bank. Bottom line: check us outwe understand family needs!!
