MATH ABOUT ME

POSTER PROJECT

YOUR ASSIGNMENT: To create a "Math About Me" poster.

Materials You'll Need:

1 White Poster Board (this may be purchase at a dollar store)

Markers

1 medium size picture of yourself; shaped into a circle

Instructions:

1. Divide your poster board into 8 equal rectangles (4 on each side).

2. Paste your picture in the middle of the poster board.

3. Write in the first rectangle "Math About Your Name" (e.g., Math about

Ms. Jimenez; Ivette; create a fraction with your name, if you can, e.g.,

Ive/tte = 1 or write "There are 6 letters in my name".

4. Your poster must contain at least 1 fraction, 1 word problem, and 1

equation, 1 exponential form problem

5. Illustrate it, use color, etc., to make it look awesome.

6. Make it nice, neat and have FUN!!!

Possible Starting Points: (Ivette; create a fraction with your name, if you can, e.g.,
