If you are planning on moving out of the district over the summer, please advise the Main Office, in writing, of your new address and the address of your child’s new school. Please send the information to the office prior to the last day of school. A transfer card will be issued on the last day of school for this year.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR PARENTS When attending programs here at school, please do not stop by or visit other classrooms without preliminary arrangements as it can be very disruptive. Also, when taking siblings home, please do not go to their classroom to get them. You must go to the Main Office or the Visitor’s Center, and they will be called so you can sign them out. A note must be sent in for the siblings you are signing out. Although parents are always welcome to attend special events held in the classrooms and special areas, we regret that we cannot have children, who are not registered at Mansfield School, attend the programs. We appreciate your cooperation.

2013-2014 June 13, 2014 Mansfield Township Parks and Recreation Committee:

Hello! The new Parks and Recreation Committee would like to introduce ourselves and give you some exciting updates on what we have been doing since our establishment in January of this year. The team has been busy updating bylaws, policies, guidelines and all the necessary things to keep our organization up to date and making sure our children are safe. We are also all busy keeping our current line-up of sports and activities flawlessly running. For those not familiar with our offerings we have: Spring Wissle league Soccer, Tennis Clinics, Football, Cheerleading, Fall Soccer, Field Hockey and Field Hockey Clinics, and Basketball.

So what’s new? We are evaluating the Sports Programs offered and possibly expanding them; we are looking at our Parks/fields and mapping their future; we launched a Facebook page; and we are in the process of posting handbooks with information and guidelines for each of our current sports programs and clinics.

Before moving forward too fast though we would love to hear from you! We have a survey about our Parks and Programs and would love if you could answer a few questions by visiting: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GF2JTJY. Your input is truly valuable in helping us to focus our resources on what’s most important.

We also need as many volunteers as possible and are hoping to have you join in to make all of our programs successful. All of our programs are run by volunteers and without you we cannot exist! We need coaches, team moms, fundraising support, and so much more. Support our community and our children by becoming involved. Your involvement is critical to the desire to improve and expand. And we can’t forget to send a big thank you to the many already dedicated volunteers that have served our programs for so many years!!!

How do you start to get involved? Contact us via email (addresses are below), visit our Facebook page and website to hear our new updates, and come attend our monthly meetings! There is so much being offered and we look forward to what is to come in the future with your help!

Don’t forget to join us on June 21st for our Second Annual Community Day! There will be lots of food, local vendors, and giveaways, fun activities for the children, music, and even a pie baking contest. It’s a great day and we hope to see you all there!

Sincerely,

The Mansfield Township Parks and Recreation Committee [email protected]
