The 58 children who

took part in our 2013 Va-

cation Bible School had a

wonderful experience!

The theme was King-

dom Rock: Where Kids

Stand Strong for God,

and that is what they

learned.

They learned that God’s

love, family and friends,

prayer, trusting God, and

the Bible help us stand

strong!

Our director Lia Gyore

and a staff of 43 did a won-

derful job in teaching and

modeling our theme, and

lives were changed.

Our thanks to all who

volunteered and generously

donated to make all of this

happen.

tion of Maasai Lu-

therans in Tanza-

nia, Africa rebuild

their worship

building after a

windstorm

knocked it down!

They are doing

the finishing work, but

the Lutheran diocese

and our missionary,

Herb Hafermann, asked

for our help in rebuilding

the main structure.

We are waiting for the

final dedication photos,

but meanwhile, Herb and

the diocese sent this oil

on canvas painting of the

Maasai and the animals

they protect as an ex-

pression of their thanks.

It will be framed and

hung in the Conference

Room in our worship

building.

begin with an orientation

and planning night Thurs-
