LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network. LinkedIn connects you to your trusted contacts and helps you exchange knowledge, ideas, and opportunities with
a broader network of professionals.
As of March 31, 2012, LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional
network with 161 million members in over
200 countries and territories.
•What do LinkedIn users do?create a free online profile, like that of a resume, connect with colleagues, and discover breaking news and professional insights.Top level executives primarily use LinkedIn for industry networking (22%) and promoting their businesses (20%). Middle management professionals primarily use LinkedIn to keep in touch with other people (24%) and industry networking (20%). Entry level employees primarily use LinkedIn for job searches (24%) and co-worker networking (23%). Overall, the top activities on LinkedIn are industry networking (61%), keeping in touch (61%), and co-worker networking (55%).

Basic Info • Name • Professional Headline- job title, but customize it to reveal something about expertise and personality
• Use your location and industry to help people reconnect and reach out.
• 3 recent positions- if you work for a big corporation, you can click edit display name to add in the name of your subsidiary.
• Description: list requirements and accomplishments to increase your appearance in search results.
• Education: Where and what you studied provides insight into your professional expertise.
• Executive summary: expertise, accomplishments and goals. Write in first person, discuss what you are passionate about, and use key words to make you easier to find.
• Recommendations: • Websites: Can say other to create your own description. THE MORE DETAILED YOU ARE, THE
