SOCIAL MEDIA

• My most recent job was at Highlands Elementary School serving the educational needs of children with autism. This position was both challenging and rewarding. To my surprise, I received a valuable education from the students on compassion and unconditional love. I created an art piece called Social Media to demonstrate a disconnect from the human experience.

MIGRANT MOTHER

• I was working for Seminole County Financial assistance when the economy took a downward spiral. Lines around the building of people in need. I created a piece after Dorothea Lange Migrant Mother a photograph taken during the depression. The computer graphic representation demonstrates how far our technology has grown but socially women remain impoverished. I won second place in the show.

ORLANDO REMAINS BEAUTIFUL

• I worked for many years assisting the homeless with permeant housing and came across a bill created by former Governor Lawton Chiles for Miami Dade County a 1 penny sales tax on high end entertainment establishments dedicated to serve the homeless and other social service. I think this would be good for Central Florida. I created this piece Swan feeding permitted Homeless feeding prohibited. This seems strange but it is true.
