FUNd raISEr – SIVaJI 90

It was an evening to remember for everyone who attended.

Conceptualised and curated by Rtn. Anil Srinivas, the Sivaji 90 program that took place at Music Academy on Saturday October 21, had stalwarts from the film industry attend, including the Sivaji family, Kamal Hassan, actor Nasser, Chinne Jayanth and others.

Kamal Hassan said that the Sivaji 90 program is possibly the best thing done to relive the memory of the great thespian Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan. In doing so, RCM has not only paid a tribute to the Nadigar Thilagam, but also

to several talented film musicians, composers, and playback singers, who were an integral part of Sivaji’s journey in becoming the demigod of tinsel town.

A line-up of scintillating playback singers rendered the songs to Rtn. Anil’s piano and they included Naresh Iyer, Andrea, Saindhavi, Sathyaprakash, Aalaap Raju, Sharvan, Sindhuri Vishal and Suchith.

The net amount raised from the fund raiser will be shared in due course once the event accounts are audited, Rtn. Vikram Chessetty announced in the last weekly meeting. He thanked

Rtn. Anil, Rtn. Ramkumar, Rtn. Balasubramanian M. (AVM), Rtn. Nalini Radhakrishnan (Akshaya) Rtn. Pratish Devdoss (VGN, Kamakshi Steels & CH Robinson), PE Rtn. Ranjit Pratap (Rayala) Rtn. Ramkumar Ganesan (Kalyan Jewellers) Rtn. Suresh Kumar, Rtn. P Suresh (Arun Excello), First Lady Rita Mohan (Nathella Jewellers) and the President for making the event a success.

The involvement of the Rotracters at the event venue and assistance of our Secretariat Sridhar and Venkatesh helped the evening’s programme start and end seamlessly.
