Greet students and enquire about their last week project (1minute)

Lesson Development (25 minutes)

Elicit from the students the meaning of data. Then talk of capturing those data for various purposes.

Example: A subscription, questionnaire etc Discuss what data capture is by providing examples such as a POS report. Discuss what a turnaround document is.

Lesson Closure : (4 minutes) Recap of the lesson ( 2 minutes) Group discussion (2 minutes) what kind of data capture form is shown here?

Homework: Go to a supermarket and see how the cashier checks out items bought. Submit a report on what happens when you pay at the cashier.(or) Observe the gas board meter reading if possible.
