The Marion County Unit of Retired Teachers will celebrate Retired Teachers Day on Sunday, November 4. Information will be inserted into the bulletins of all churches that retired educators attend. Also, posters will be placed in the windows of stores in town. As part of our celebration, the group attended the Marion County vs. Brookstone football game and plan to attend the Veterans Day program at L.K. Moss. The Governor of Georgia and the Mayor of Buena Vista have signed proclamations declaring November 4 Retired Educators Day. The local proclamation is below.
