CEO CORNERAs my last CEO Corner, I am confronted with a numberof emotions as is normal. I have many opposite andcompeting responses to the same issue. Why would Iwant to leave a community that has been a joy toembrace during my 2.5 years as Shire CEO? FromCouncil life, to home life I have enjoyed the embraceKulin offers. The joy of watching the community shift inresponse to its challenges, the level of commitment totake action, the learnings we have all achieved and thecompany along the way is not lost on me. Theexpansion of the number of friends and acquaintancesis now something of my and your journey and history. From a Shire angle, I am confident that the workcompleted will provide structure and operating systemsfor many years and that the wonderful staff of the Shirehold precious the responsibility of serving thecommunity, so Kulin Shire is in good hands. The future holds a challenge for me, one that I amlooking forward to (at this point in time) and one that canagain test my capacity to learn, grow and share; forwhat would life be without ambition and endeavour? Good wishes to you all for this harvest and the festiveseason.
