calendar year, January to December.
Editorial I am pleased to say we have had some very enthusiastic responses to our last edition of the Kulin Weekly Update and will be looking at some of the follow changes:
Rebranding the current update with a possible new name and logo and offering advertisers the option to print in either colour or black and white
Keeping the same format each edition e.g. the sports notes will always be towards the back of each edition and the front and back covers will be in a similar format each edition with a cover story and the events calendar
We will introduce a page limit so that our email contacts are not receiving large files
Our contacts list will only be used for our weekly update and for urgent messages to be sent out. All other information that is not in by the Tuesday deadline will not be sent out and will be placed in the next edition. This means our contacts are not receiving multiple emails from us each week.
The CRC will now have the TR Homes Display in the centre and be the representatives for the company. Remember any house purchased puts money back into the community.
If you are sending in photos or adverts please try to send them in as jpegs or as publisher files. This makes it easier for us to format and will improve the print quality.
Thank you to all the community members who gave feed back about last weeks special edition of the “Update” and to all our contributors. Remember we want to here from all our community members, don't be shy in sharing your thoughts and ideas with us.

On Saturday the 30th of November the Camp Kulin Camp Counsellors braved the wind, cold and rain on Saturday to take on a massive challenge to raise money for the Cancer Council’s Relay for Life.
The team of 9 – Smurf, Daniel, Brittany, Jesse, Tahnee, Sam, Mini Smurf, Kennah and Ollie - slid down the Kulin waterslide for 12 hours straight, making it from top to bottom a massive 750 times – that’s 136,500 metres of slide, and 61,500 steps climbed. They also raised in excess of $1,500 for the Cancer Council at the same time.
Special mention must go to Kieran (aka Smurf), who did 150 individual slides over the course of the day (translating to 27,300 metres of sliding and climbing 12,300 steps).
The Camp Kulin team would like to say a huge thankyou to Kulin IGA for generously donating food and drinks for the team for the weekend; Jane for being at the pool from 5.30am (with breakfast for everyone too!) and spending the morning with us; Michelle, Sim, Toni and Taryn for all their help and support; and Gen for setting up the ABC Radio interview.
We would also like to thank all the Camp Kulin kids who came along to lend a hand – Olivia, Madeline, Anastasia, Lucy, Reece, Ashton, Jack, Daniel, Zali, Fletcher, Aleisha, Josh & Jack.

Kulin District High School
Dear Parents and Community Members In 2013, Kulin District High School became an Independent Public School and as such we began working
with a School Board made up of parents, community members and staff. The positions elected for a one
year term in November 2012 are now due for re-election with duties commencing in February 2014.
The current members who hold the one year term are:
Sid Turner – not seeking re-election (Community)
Julie Hett (Community)
Yvonne Boxall (Parent)
Ian Bailey (Staff)
We are seeking nominations from parents and community members who are enthusiastic about the long term
future of our school and who will support the ethos and vision of the school leaders.
A School Board Induction booklet is available from the school that will give interested persons more infor-
mation about what is involved. Successful nominees will be appointed for a three year term. The School
Board usually meets twice per term if required.
If you would like to nominate yourself or another person, with their permission, please fill in the slip below and
return to school by Friday 6th December.
Yours sincerely
Ian McCredden
