Kirori Mal College is one of the most prestigious college of Delhi University

having a unique combination of social activism, cultural heterogeneity and

academic excellence.

Kirori Mal College Students Union in collaboration with Uttarakhand Tourism

organised a two day academic and cultural Youth Conclave 'YAJUNSHI 2020' on

16th and 17th January, 2020 The two day event had participation from

different colleges of Delhi University.

◆Goals and Objectives of the Youth Conclave:

1. To make today's youth aware about India's legacy of academic excellence,

wisdom, knowledge, culture and tradition that has passed several contours of

history since ancient times to the contemporary world.

2. To provide a unique platform for the youth to develop a coherent and

cogent worldview, which traces its origin from the fundamental issues

governing our lives.

An academic session on Dynamic Uttarakhand was organised in the two day

event. The following personalities were main speakers in the academic session

:

● Mr. Suman Singh Waldia , Additional Secretary, Uttarakhand Government.

● Mr. Mannu Dafaali, Environmentalist and Founder of Harera Society.

● Manish Kashniyal, Mountaineer from Pithoragarh.

This academic session was one of the most successful session of the conclave

where a detailed discussion on Uttarakhand took place. Various dynamics of

Uttarakhand like environmental degradation, administration and governance

in mountains and tourist possiblities in Uttarakhand were discussed in the

session.

The Student's Union of Kirori Mal College is thankful to Uttarakhand Tourism

for collaborating in Youth Conclave.

The Students Union of Kirori Mal College got a verbal confirmation regarding

sponsorship from Uttarakhand Tourism from Mr. Suman Singh Waldia. On

account of this verbal confirmation, the following opportunities were available

for the sponsors :

1) Campus Promotion : Logo of Uttarakhand Tourism on every banner and

poster of the event, promotion of the sponsors was done via stage and

also through campus ambassador programme.
