Apart from serving as chief deputy and general counsel in the office of the Indiana Treasurer of State, James (Jim) Holden teaches as an adjunct law professor at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). An alumnus of IUPUI, Jim Holden holds a law degree from the university’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

In November of 2014, the Robert H. McKinney School of Law garnered recognition as a MarComAwards recipient. Presented by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the MarCom Awards recognize communications and marketing professionals and companies exemplifying the highest quality of writing, design, and digital media, among other areas of communication. The creative competition reviews submissions from around the world from both freelancers and agencies and, on average, receives 6,000 entries.

The Robert H. McKinney School of Law took home gold MarCom Awards for the 2013-2014 winter issue of the McKinney Lawyer publication and its alumni newsletter. The law school was joined by the university’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions and IUPUI’s Division of Undergraduate Education, both of which earned multiple gold- and platinum-level honors.
