  • It’s All Right Here This is what it’s all been for friends, family,

    fun, traditions and good times!

Hot Springs Village It’s not just your new community.

It’s your new active way of life!

    Welcom

    e Hom

    e!

  • Welcome Home! When I reflect over Hot Springs Village’s 50-year history, I smile thinking about the thousands of stories of family, friendship and fun. Stories of people who’ve shared tears and laughter, struggles and achievements, all the while building community.

From waking up to my first sunrise over Lake Sophia to my grandson celebrating his first Christmas here, to wonderful memories of neighbors opening their homes for Super Bowl parties, Christmas celebrations, golf tournament receptions, fundraisers or quiet evenings with a friend on the back deck, I know firsthand the magic that happens throughout each neighborhood.

Now it is your turn to create your own special Hot Springs Village memories. Whether you enjoy golf, pickleball, tennis, the arts, lake life, a walk or bike ride, volunteering your time and talents, visiting the library, taking a fitness class, joining a club, serving at a local church, or simply observing nature at its finest, your Property Owners Association stands ready to serve you.

Simply put, we look forward to building community with you. Welcome Home!

  • Board of Directors Welcome HSV functions in many ways like a municipality. Using your assessment dollars and fees, HSV provides water, wastewater treatment, sanitation, roads, fire, ambulance and police protections, plus a variety of amenities like golf, lakes, trails, a performance auditorium, racquet sports, and some food and beverage establishments. But technically, HSV is governed not as a city council with representatives from wards. It is a not-for-profit, mutual benefit corporation governed by a board of 7 elected directors. Communications to the board can be directed to [email protected] Our board meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, at 9:00 am Ponce De Leon/Woodlands Center located at 1101 DeSoto Blvd. (9:00 a.m.). If you’re interested in learning more about the governance of the Village, feel free to visit http://explorethevillage.com/members/governance/ for more information. Declarations, Covenants, By-Laws, and Policies can be found at http://explorethevillage.com/members/governance/governing-documents/ All of you moved here, we presume, because you were attracted to the outstanding golf, the gorgeous natural setting, the variety of recreational activities, the regional offerings in Hot Springs and elsewhere, the moderate climate – all at a cost that is favorable to other places you might have considered. The POA is responsible for developing and maintaining HSV for all the reasons you moved here. So, should you have a question or concern about any of it, your first call is to the POA office. Ultimately, our General Manager is accountable for the successful operation of our Village. In contrast, our role as the HSV board is not operational. As an association, our legal purpose that the board must uphold is “to preserve the value of, and to promote the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and commercial owners of, the real estate described in the Declaration”. Our role is to set strategic direction for the Village, and to provide resources for pursuing that strategy and for funding operations – while making sure we remain compliant with the declaration, bylaws and policies. We hold our General Manager, accountable for achieving strategic goals that have been set, and for operating the Village efficiently and effectively. So, unlike council members from municipal wards, we directors are not the ones to call to try to get a pothole on your street fixed or if you’re dissatisfied the class offerings at the fitness center. Please call the POA office for those types of concerns.

  • Governing Documents You have chosen to live in a planned community. Planned communities are built with a variety of amenities to serve the residents, and also to oversee the maintenance of the community so that the area and all properties uphold their value. The rules of our community are described in the Articles of Incorporation, Declarations, Protective Covenants, and Bylaws and Policies. You probably became somewhat familiar with these during the home buying and/or closing process. These governing documents can be found at http://hsvpoa.org/governance. We have included a copy of the General Rules and Regulations in this folder for your convenience. They are also on the website. Planned communities (including ours) are funded by monthly assessments which are then allocated for the common good of the community, as afforded in the Governing Declarations mentioned here.

Architectural Control One of the reasons you probably chose to live in a planned community is the authority afforded by the governing documents to develop design guidelines, uniformity, building materials, etc. Our ACC (Architectural Control Committee) reviews and approves all matters that affect the outside of your new home. Find out if you need a permit for your next project by calling 501-922-5559 or by logging on to the Permitting & Inspection section of our website at http://explorethevillage.com/members/services/permitting-inspection/ and reviewing our Protective Covenants.

Gates One of the reasons you may have chosen Hot Springs Village as your home is the security afforded by our Gate System. Now that you live here, your friends and relatives will surely want to come visit. In order for them to gain entrance to the Village, enter their guest information via email at [email protected] or [email protected] ,or online through the Member Portal, or by calling the East Gate at (501) 922-5015 or the West Gate at (501) 922-1640.

Assessments The monthly assessment amount is due on the 1st of every month, and delinquent after the 15th of each month (Article X of Declarations). The most convenient method of payment is signing up for an automatic draft (ACH). This can be done at the POA Administration Office and turned in by the 15th of the month prior to the first desired draft (forms online). For further information, you may call the Member Services Department at 501-922-5556, Option 1. You may also sign up to have your utility bill (water, sewer, and sanitation) paid by draft and/or receive a paperless bill. Call 501-922-5556, Option 2 with utility bill questions or visit with us at the POA Administration Office.
