About Us
About Us
Built-In has been established in Qatar since 2002 and in Lebanon since 1987. We
escorted the huge volume of reconstruction work that has started early Nineties
when the Lebanese war was over. And through our years of experience we have
rapidly grown especially in Qatar and developed in the following lines:
a) Road Construction Projects: Asphalt, Sub Base, Utilities, and Special
drilling works.
b) EHV Cabling Work: Kahramaa’s Approved Subcontractor. (as per enclosed letter)
Moreover, we are certified for QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: ISO 9001:2008 and OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: OHSAS 18001:2007 (enclosed certificates)
Road Construction Projects included: Road Excavation, Backfilling, Aggregate Layers, Drainage and Asphalt Pavement with Curbstones and Gutters. All through our past performance, we always succeeded in fulfilling our commitment in handing over the projects within the scheduled time. Our maneuverability allows us to shift very quickly to the next work location scoring an exceptional short mobilization time. We can mobilize three fully equipped Asphalt Teams together with the same number of Sub Base Teams and they can be increased to our needs. We are completing Sub Base laying works using our Pavers in Salwa Road Project (Doha Expressway - Package 7 – Salwa Road Phase 2) and the Additional Road beyond CP7 Boundary Site in Qatar Foundation – Education City.
In many occasions we showed proof of high efficiency especially in heavy traffic areas like NDIA North Extension of Ras Abou Abboud Road where performance, planning and coordination were essential in the construction of diversions which were tied to the existing roads. These diversions were intended to replace Ras Abou Abboud Bridge and bypass the existing round about. Despite the heavy traffic, our Teams where carrying out with great confidence, Asphalt Pavement Works even during day shifts, in the area extending from Sana Round About to NDIA North Entrance. These Asphalt Works started in November 2007 and ended in February 2010. They lasted almost 2 years and amounted QR 28 Millions in two years. In the same period we were working on two other main Asphalt Projects: The first one is in Messaieed (Q–Chem II) amounting QR 32 Millions and consisting of two layers of Asphalt Pavement of 150,000 m2 each. The second one is in RasLaffan (Laffan Refinery) with a value of QR 12 Millions and covering 76,000 m2 of Asphalt for each two layers. These three projects in almost 2 years time totaled QR 72 Millions and were all handed over. Other smaller road projects were in hand in this period in addition to a QR 30 Millions Kahramaa Cable Laying project. Later on we were involved in Road & Car Parking works in NDIA especially at CP14, CP18, and CP60 and in Sub-base works at CP94, CP51 and CP69. In February 2010 we started a fast track project in Ras Laffan for FLUOR – Medgulf. It consists of one layer Sub base and three layers of Asphalt with a cost of QR 8.6 Millions. In less than two months we laid 15,000 Tons of Asphalt in addition to Excavation, Sub base and Road Marking. We were awarded for the fast and safe achievement of this project. Furthermore in 2012 we achieved successfully the Car Parking at School of Business Building Premises in Qatar University having a total area of
16,000 m2 of Pavement and Soft Landscaping including Piling & Concrete foundations. Actually we are completing in Qatar University another Car Parking at AAB Premises where we are involved in Piling Works for Car Sheds Foundations in addition to Earthworks & Pavement. We almost completed a Kahramaa Project for Cable Laying at Bin Mahmoud and Al Nassr where we found, during excavation, a congested area full of existing underground utilities that have been maintained operational without any damage.
In all our projects our goal is to enhance the satisfaction of our clients. Through the effort of our team that consists of Professional Civil Engineers, Business Managers, Technicians and skillful operators and laborers working together and doing their best to deliver excellence in quality, exceeding Customer expectation, while time frame is fully committed and safe operation maintained.

Berth 6 HSE Newsletter April - May 2010 Issue # 23
Mr. Chandra Takore, a Kaefer employee was a laborer,
when he first came to Berth 6 Project. He was
nominated as BBB and then his performance,
commitment towards his roles and responsibilities, and
his dedication to safety secured him promotion as a
foreman. Mr. Chandra Takores’ inspirational story and
dedication to the safety of all Berth 6 Project personnel -
summarizes the impact of the BBB Program.
The program has proved that “any matter can be
resolved on site”, if there are good relationships and
open communication “between the supervisors and
workers”. This experience has shown that motivation of
accepting successful practices and adopting adequate
safe behavior is higher, when coming from “peers” and
not only through the "authority".
HSSE professionals have continuously stated that the
BBB’s have been ‘SMART’ identifying the hazards,
‘CONFIDENT’ allowing them to “stop a job” when it is
unsafe and possessing the initiative to provide an
explanation upon rectifying the unsafe condition and/or
act.
The success of the BBB Program has highlighted that the
Berth 6 Project number one value as safety, by
reinforcing our commitment to “Together Everyone
Achieves More” and “Everyone Goes Home Safe”.
Ozay Ciplak, QG Berth 6 Technical Construction Specialist
Road Construction
Road Construction Team safely and successfully
completed 4971 meters of main Berth 6 road and 1150
meters service road around SS-ITR Building. There was a
lot of preparation that went into road building. A great
deal of planning was put into developing Safe Work
Methods and a comprehensive Traffic Management
Plan for this task before work commenced. 3 layers of
asphalt were laid to complete the job. Almost 15000 tons
of asphalt was poured and 2430 numbers of guardrail
posts and 10096 linear meters of guard rails were
installed.
Built-In was the prime contractor and supported by Fluor,
QG and Medgulf Berth6 Project personnel.
Well done to all involved in safe completion of the Road
Works.
