Basics Language iPad built-in "Contacts" is used for a directory; entries registered in the Contacts are displayed in the iPad Receptionist list. Fields used: photo, last and first names, phonetic names, department, phone number; entries whose "custom" field contains "sip" are listed in the list.

•  If a SIP-capable IP-PBX is installed in your office recently:

•  iPad Receptionist can be connected as an extension via SIP protocol.

•  Some IP-PBX requires an extra license for a SIP connection (such as NEC AspireX).

•  Contact your PBX provider for registration of an extension.

•  The call can be received with an extension phone, smartphone (with SIP client app such as 3CX and media5fone), PC (with SIP client software such as 3CX and Xlite).

•  Alternatively a SIP server (3CX, asterisk, etc.) can be used in case you have no IP-PBX:

•  iPad Receptionist can be connected as an extension via SIP protocol.

•  You can install a SIP server by yourself or ANALOG TWELVE can help you for a fee.

•  ANALOG TWELVE provided SIP server has to be used.

•  A call is made to an extension through a public phone line.

•  ANALOG TWELVE's SIP server and iPad Receptionist are connected through the Internet.

•  ANALOG TWELVE's SIP server makes a call to the extension through a public line. Some delay may occur due to communication situation.

•  You can only use a terminal that can accept a call through a public line such as a cell phone or fixed-line phone.

•  Additional expenses incurred for use of SIP server and public line.
