TYPES:
1. Dail-up Internet Access
2. ISDN Internet Access
3. DSL Internet Access
4. Cable Internet Access
5. Fiber-optic Internet Access
6. Power-line Internet Access
DAIL-UP
It is a form of access to the world wide web that
uses telephone lines. The user's computer or router
uses an attached modem connected to a telephone
line to dial into an Internet Service Provider's (ISP)
node to establish a modem to modem link.
ISDN
Integrated Service Digital Network (ISDN) is circuit-
switched telephone network system. It is a set of
communication standards for simutaneous
voice, video, data, and other network services over
the traditional circuits of the public swtiched
telephone network.
ISDN connections are popular in Europe.

CABLE
It refers to the Internet access provided through the
cable connections of the television.
FIBER-OPTIC
Fiber optic internet access providers use the optical fiber for the transmission of information.
The process of communicating using fiber-optics involves the following basic steps:
1.Creating the optical signal involving the use of a transmitter
2.Relaying the signal along the fiber
3.Ensuring that the signal does not become too distorted or weak,
4.Receiving the optical signal, and converting it into an electrical signal.
POWER-LINE
In this kind of data transmission the power
distribution line is utilized.
Consumers can buy powerline adapter sets at most
electronics retailers and use those to establish a
wired connection using the existing electrical wiring
in the home.
