Introduction NAVER is the best portal site in Korea made by Next Human Network(NHN). It

provide numerous information and functions. As time goes on, mobile device has

come into wide use. Users need more fast and easy service. Portable device makes

people have little patience with speed, accuracy, and comfortable. In this reason,

Naver mobile app is made. It provide localized search, voice search, wine label search,

QR code search, search with Japanese character recognition, and so on. This app

signify that users can search something where they are, when they are, what they

want. Also It provide their core services.

There are some features.

- Naver Home (Naver main page)

- Search (with Voice, Music, QR code, Wine Label, Japanese character, and so on.)

- 네이버me (Personalized service)

- Bookmarks (Mobile Web&App, Favorite pages)

- More (지식iN, Browsing pages, setting)

Mobile is future. That’s why I analyze it. People always use their smart phone. So I

choose Naver mobile app. I’m going to find out some problems for better service.

1. Is it useful in the real world? There is no useful element except Settings. 지식iN, 인터넷 주소창, 현재 실행창 is just mess. I think this menu has a miss-grouping.

3. Can I control functions easily? There is no useful element except Settings. 지식iN, 인터넷 주소창, 현재 실행창 is not incomplete. I think this menu has a miss-grouping. Apps need arrangement. It is hard to erase unnecessary apps. Actually it is easy, but there needs so many tasks.

4. Does it exist standard? There is no standard. It is just one of the experiment. Also, Android app and iPhone app are different.

6. Can I use intuitionally? If you swipe the search box of naver, some functions appear suddenly. That function was exist before the iOS 5, but it has messy because of iOS 5 Notification bar. So I understand this messy, but I don’t like it. That is really out of the blue. I want to check my e-mail, but It is inconvenient. Normally, ‘more’ button is on the bottom of the page. Do not use 메일서비스 바로가기 button. Use ‘more e-mail load’ function. Users want to see more e-mail in this page. If I want to go mailbox, I just touch mailbox.

8. Is it minimal? There are too many buttons. 인터넷 주소창 and 현재 실행창 can merge. 지식iN button can move another place. I think 지식iN is more friendly with 네이버me. I want to see my e-mails easily, but It has more depths. We can make it more simple. There are so many duplicated functions.

10. Can I find helping clue? There is no useful element except Settings. 지식iN, 인터넷 주소창, 현재 실행창 is just mess. I think this menu has a miss-grouping. There is no clue about swipe-function. There is no clue about how much pages in the 요즘 뜨는 이야기 and 미투데이 Now. Also there is no clue about how much pages in the 뮤직, 영화, and 네이버 캐스트. It indicates just the number of pages, no detail information.

Modify the More-button in GNB.

And… Make User Interface Guideline.

Arrange the icon.

More-button is so messy and inconvenient. Move the 지식iN, 인터넷 주소창, 현재 실행창 to another place. Just use Setting rather than More-Button.

There are so many icons. Users do not use whole of it. Make simplify. Users have right to select some icon for arrangement. Default has to simple.

Modify the search box function.

This function also exist in the Search of GNB and take up so many hardware resources. So, delete the pull-down function or modify. Duplicated functions are not necessary.

Make modification in 지식iN.

Modify the Naver-me.

I don’t understand. Users can make mistake, and they can modify their question in 지식iN. Now this fuction is very strict. Please make modification. Users are human.

This is so inconvenient. Users want to see more e-mail in this page. Do not use indirection in the bottom of this page. Please use “More E-mail Load” rather than “Go Mailbox”.

Make the masterpiece.

There are some incomplete functions. This is one of the incomplete UI. Make sure the UI and function. Please complete the app.
