PIPELINE ENGINEERING

Our expertise includes the design of infield and export pipelines, thermo-hydraulic analysis, route selection and optimisation, spanning prevention and mitigation.

We provide detailed installation analysis for both shallow and deepwater pipelines, including trenching and ploughability analysis. We also provide innovative design solutions for pipe damage/buckle repair.

SUBSEA PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

We offer complete service capability from concept to commissioning for subsea production systems.

We have extensive experience in offshore foundation design for moorings, subsea equipment including subsea controls system, umbilical layouts and offshore structures. Our solutions focus across the project lifecycle through design, procurement, fabrication, installation and removal.

FIXED OFFSHORE PLATFORMS

We offer a range of engineering services to meet the challenges of designing and installing fixed offshore platforms including conceptual and final system engineering design for jackets, decks and modules, platform assessments as well as operational process design and implementation, including process equipment skid design. We specialise in constructable and cost effective solutions, for installation, commissioning and decommissioning of offshore structures.

MARINE TERMINALS

We advise clients on the optimum solution for the design, selection of size and siting for marine tanker loading and offloading for the transfer of fluid products including technical specifications for all components of facilities including SPM, CBM and other proprietary mooring facilities. Leighton has extensive experience in SPM and CBM installation and commissioning. We provide terminal simulation and siting studies, mooring system selection and specification, project management and design engineering.

DE-BOTTLENECKING

De-bottlenecking is a common solution that generally increases capacity for a fraction of the cost of building new facilities. We provide clients with an all round de-bottlenecking service, covering changes in product composition, production rate, environmental conditions and acceptable emission rates and changes in design standards. Our focus is on cost effectiveness and extending the design life of our facilities.

PIPELINE TOWS

Leighton Engineering offers a complete range of services required to successfully plan, manage and engineer offshore pipeline installations using tow methodology. This includes Bottom, Off-bottom, Mid-depth and Surface tow methodologies.

We have proven the economic and technical merits of pipeline tow methodology by successfully completing landmark projects across Asia, India and the Middle East.

FLOATING SYSTEMS

Leighton Engineering has a wealth of experience in floating systems design and installation including MOPU, FPSO and Floating Production Topsides. Our core skills include overall concept design and configuration layout, marine/naval architectural design, installation analysis and support and commissioning. We operate the latest clash checking and integration software for FPSO topside modular design and installation.

TANK FARMS

We provide comprehensive design solutions for tank farms with a focus on safety and optimised process flows. Our services include API 650 storage tank layouts with foundation and double bottom retrofit design, loading rack and fuel storage area containment and watershed canopy design and specifications, piping and structural support. We also design foam and water deluge fire suppression and sensor detection systems, tank farm level monitoring and control systems including display, alarm and control valve specification.

All designs are completed with emphasis on ASME, ANSI, API 650/653, AISC and NFPA code compliance.

ONSHORE PIPELINES

Leighton has extensive experience in onshore pipeline design and installation including oil and gas, water and sewerage pipeline systems.

We cover both greenfield and brownfield projects, optimising pipeline facilities and their control systems through route selection, right of way, river and road crossings investigations. We assist clients in selecting and procuring the most suitable pipeline materials and coating systems and provide structural design of pipelines and associated facilities including scraper traps, valve and metering stations and SCADA packages.

UTILITY SYSTEMS

Leighton Engineering has extensive experience in strategic analysis, project planning and techno-economic evaluation for a range of utility systems for oil and gas projects including instrument air and plant air system, produced water treatment systems and chemical injection systems. We also design gas lift systems including dehydration, compression and injection and water injection systems such as desalting, deoxygenating oil separation and injection.

TEMPORARY WORKS DESIGN

We provide safe, practical and cost-effective engineering solutions for temporary works structures to support the construction of permanent works. We work closely with our clients to develop construction methodology and installation sequences and undertake detailed motion and structural analysis for lifiting and loading activities, seafastening and foundation analysis. Our temporary works designs include bridge erection supports, falseworks, cofferdams, access plaftorms and safety structures.
