DAY 1 | ROMEArrival by private car with driver from Rome Fiumicino Airport to Rome Hotel. After checking in to your centrally-located hotel, you will have ample time to unpack, relax and freshen up prior to jump starting your visit with an independent stroll through Rome to see the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and many other sites of Baroque Rome.

DAY 2 | ROME BreakfastAfter buffet breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning collective tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, where you will have a chance to admire Michelangelo’s recently restored frescoes. After lunch on your own, your exploration of Rome continues with an early afternoon collective guided tour of Ancient Imperial Rome, highlighting the Circus Maximus, the Arch of Constantine, Trajan’s Column, the Roman and Imperial Forums and an interior visit to the Colosseum.

DAY 3 | ROME - POMPEII - NAPLES - ROME Breakfast and LunchAfter buffet breakfast at the hotel, set out on a collective tour of Pompeii and Naples. The first stop will be in Pompeii for a guided tour of the excavation site. This once-thriving ancient Roman seaside resort was buried under molten ash during the 79 AD eruption of nearby Mt. Vesuvius. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue on to Naples for a guided panoramic tour of this vibrant city. Late afternoon return to Rome.

DAY 4 | ROME - FLORENCE BreakfastEnjoy a leisurely buffet breakfast at the hotel before transferring by private car with driver to Rome’s Termini Rail Station to board a first class train to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, transfer by private car with driver to your centrally-located hotel for check-in. DAY 5 | FLORENCE Breakfast After buffet breakfast at the hotel, participate in a collective guided tour designed to introduce you to the genius of the Italian Renaissance. Start at the Accademia to admire Michelangelo’s imposing statue of David. Continue on to the main Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, crowned by Brunelleschi’s great dome and flanked by Giotto’s sleek bell tower. At the adjacent Baptistery, see Ghiberti’s famous Bronze Gates of Paradise, almost lost to the floods of 1966. Stroll through Piazza della Signoria past the Palazzo Vecchio and eventually on to Piazzale Michelangelo for a breathtaking panoramic vista of the entire city.

DAY 6 | FLORENCE - SIENA - SAN GIMIGNANO - PISA - CHIANTI DISTRICT - FLORENCE Breakfast ] Country Lunch with Wine Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel prior to heading out on a full-day collective excursion in search of Tuscany’s hidden gems. The first stop will be in Siena, home of the annual Palio Horse Race, to explore this fortified city as you journey through its winding roads, past tall towers and along the portico-covered galleries. Enjoy the guided tour of the old town, including the famous Basilica of San Domenico (inside visit). Stroll through the large Piazza del Campo, dominated by the Torre del Mangia and the Palazzo Pubblico. Walk up to the stunning Duomo, with its contrasting black and white marble. Proceed to a family-run wine estate in Chianti for a wine tasting followed by lunch with wine. Continue on to the heart of the Chianti countryside, the lovely walled town of San Gimignano, an UNESCO World Heritage site known for its many soaring towers. A local guide will introduce you to the history and traditions of this onetime Medieval town, such as highly skilled craftsmen producing handmade traditional Medieval objects. Your last stop will be in Pisa, one of the four former Italian Maritime Republics. Stop to view the Square of Miracles, including the Cathedral, Leaning Tower and Baptistery. Return to Florence for overnight.

DAY 7 | FLORENCE - VENICE Breakfast After buffet breakfast at your hotel, transfer by private car with driver to Florence Rail Station to board a first-class train to Venice, after which you will be transferred by private motor launch to downtown Venice. After check-in at a centrally-located hotel, relax and unwind at your own pace for your first night in Venice.

DAY 8 | VENICE Breakfast

Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a collective guided walking tour of Ducal Venice, including such highlights as the Basilica of San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, Bell Tower, Clock Tower, Santa Maria Formosa, Campo S.S. Giovanni e Paolo, Marco Polo’s House, and Malibran Theatre. Finish the tour with an inside visit to the Doge’s Palace. Just ahead is the Cathedral, whose precinct offers the first view of the river, the cascading houses and the opposite bank. From there you descend by steps and the medieval streets to Ribeira, with its café terraces and picturesque corners. It's worth staying a little to get a flavor of the atmosphere. Once you’ve seen the outline of the cascading houses and church towers, you will visit the Palácio da Bolsa (former Stock Exchange Palace). Lunch in Ribeira. In the afternoon, we will visit the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, followed by a visit to a Port wine cellar. Overnight in Porto.

Coimbra, the city of students, so called to host one of the first universities in Europe and the most important of the country. DAY 7 | LISBON - SINTRA - LISBON Buffet Breakfast, Dinner With Fado Show Entertainment Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the hotel towards Sintra, a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage village. Discover the charms and history of Sintra, starting with the visit to the romantic National Pena Palace, the town’s ex-libris. Enjoy exploring the historic center and taste the local sweet delicacies: travesseiros and queijadas. Free time for lunch. We set off to the district of Belém, where were built the monuments alluding to the time of the Maritime Discoveries in the 15th and 16th centuries. We will make our first stop at the Belém Tower (classified as World Heritage by UNESCO), the 15th century fortress and starting point of caravels and sailors who gave new worlds to the world, and then visit the Monastery of Jerónimos (classified as World Heritage by UNESCO), a masterpiece of Manueline architecture. From the Monumental Lisbon we pass onto the Old Lisbon, strolling through the old and traditional district of Alfama. In the evening, dinner at a traditional restaurant while enjoying a fabulous Fado Show. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Lisbon.

DAY 8 | LISBON - ÉVORA - LISBONBuffet Breakfast ] Wine Tasting in Private Estate Cellars Breakfast at the hotel. We set off to Évora, standing in the middle of the beautiful plains of the Alentejo. This walled city was declared World Heritage by UNESCO. We will visit the Roman Temple, dating back to the 3rd century A.D. which was recovered in the 19th century and the strange Chapel of Bones with its pillars and walls covered by bones from the 17th century. RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS FOR ALL LAND PACKAGES: As space is limited, early reservations are advised. No reservation will be confirmed without a $400.00 per person deposit. For any bookings within 60 days prior to departure, full payment is due immediately. All payments for bookings are payable by check, cash, credit card and/or electronic transfer.

CANCELLATIONS FOR ALL LAND PACKAGES: Cancellations for any of our land packages must be received in writing during normal business hours. Cancellations received up to 60 days prior to departure will be refunded in full, less $200.00 per person, plus any incurred expenses; cancellations received within 59 days and 31 days are subject to a charge of $300.00 per person, plus any incurred expenses; cancellations received with 30 days to 8 days prior to departure are subject to 50% of the applicable package price plus any incurred expenses; cancellations received within 7 days prior to departure are non-refundable. Cancellations due to force majeure causes are subject to a fee of $300.00 per person, plus any incurred expenses. We strongly recommend that participants purchase travel protection insurance.

CHANGES FOR ALL PACKAGES: All changes must be advised in writing during normal business hours. An administrative charge of $25.00 per person will be levied in the event of changes made to an already confirmed reservation. Changes due to - force majeure causes are subject to a fee of $300.00 per person, plus any incurred expenses. We strongly recommend that participants purchase travel protection insurance.

CANCELLATION ON AIR TRANSPORTATION: For any tour participants purchasing air transportation through Donna Franca Tours, please be advised that, once tickets are issued, travelers are subject to applicable air carrier penalties as assessed by the respective air carrier(s). We strongly recommend that participants purchase travel protection insurance.

VILLA & APARTMENT RENTALS: A non-refundable deposit equal to 35% of the rental is required at time of booking. All cancellations are subject to policies as imposed by the respective vendors, however, Donna Franca Tours, will advise you of said policies at time of booking. Please note that on-site security deposit is not included in rental price. Also some villas and/or apartments charge for electrical and/or gas consumption and/or heating as they are considered extra and payable on site.

FERRARI VACATION RULES AND CONDITIONS: Only clients 26 yrs. old or older, holding a valid driving license for an uninterrupted period of at least three years are authorized to drive the cars. The driver must behave in a careful and responsible manner and must not deviate from the normal use for which the vehicle is intended. The client must comply with all applicable highway codes and rules. The client is liable under civil law for all offenses. The client has to pay a security deposit of Euro 10.000.00 in Italy at the time of picking up the Ferrari car. The deposit will be returned as soon as the client hands the vehicle back at the end of his vacation. A detailed RED TRAVEL TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY WILL BE SENT TO THE CLIENT at the time of reservation. At that time, the client will have to pay a reservation deposit of €10.000.00 for his official request.

CREDIT CARDS: For your convenience, Donna Franca Tours accepts all major credit cards.

CITY CCCUPANCY TAXES & RESORT FEES: Please note that City Occupancy taxes are not included in our land only rates. Any resort fees are not included in our land only rates.

CLAIMS: Upon the client and tour operator entering into an agreement, said agreement is intended to take effect as a contract which has been executed or completed in Massachusetts and all transactions there under or pursuant thereto shall be governed as to interpretation validity, effects, rights, duties and remedies of the parties there under and in all respects by the domestic laws of Massachusetts. All claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of completion of services with Donna Franca Tours. Upon entering into contract with the tour operator, the client irrevocably waives, to the fullest extent possible, any right that it may have or hereinafter acquire to bring suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to this agreement in any legal forum of the United States of America other than in Federal or State Court sitting in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, the client irrevocably agrees that any suit, action or proceeding commenced by the client against the tour operator will be brought in the Federal or State Courts sitting in Boston, Massachusetts.

REFUNDS: No refunds are allowed for any unused portions of any tour or service. No refunds will be made in the event of ‘no show’, therefore, we strongly recommend that participants purchase travel protection insurance. Requests for refunds for any other reason must be made in writing within 30 days after date of last service provide by Donna Franca Tours.

CURRENCY FLUCTUATION: All land rates and tariffs in this brochure are subject to change as a result of the fluctuation of the US dollar vis-à-vis the respective foreign currency.

SINGLE ROOMS: Please note that a limited number of single rooms are available at the supplementary rate as indicated for each tour. While single rooms afford privacy, they are often much smaller than double rooms and tend to be poorly located, especially in older hotels. As an alternative, Donna Franca Tours can arrange for upgrade to a “double room for single use” at additional cost.

TRIPLE ROOMS: Most hotels offer triple accommodations, however, they usually consist of a twin-bedded room with the addition of a folding and/or roll-away bed. Triple rooms may not be suited for three adults.

PARTICIPANTS REQUIRING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE: Donna Franca Tours cannot provide and/ or offer any special individual assistance to tour participants such as, and not limited to, walking, getting on and off motor coaches or any other means of transport such as ferries, hydrofoils, motor launches or similar and any other personal assistance. For any participant requiring special assistance, travelers must be accompanied by a responsible companion. We can however make the necessary arrangements for special dietary requests such as vegetarian. celiac or diabetic meals and for rooms with handicap facilities, where available.

SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed on the motor coach or during any transfer and/or excursion with a private car and driver. Smoking in public places such as airports and other venues may be restricted based on destination.

BAGGAGE: On all vacation packages which include car, van, motor coach, or motor boat transfers., baggage is limited to one suitcase per person, along with one piece of carry-on luggage not to exceed 39 inches in total dimensions. Additional luggage can be accepted subject to space availability and if advised to our US reservation office and in advance., and at a supplementary charge.

NOT INCLUDED: Rates do not include items of a personal nature such as wine, liquor beverages, valet service, optional tours and gratuities to tour directors, local guides, local porters, and drivers. Rates do not include air departure taxes, security fees, custom fees and supplementary fuel surcharges in the event traveler has purchased air transportation through Donna Franca Tours. Furthermore, please note that the use of the word ‘optional’ in any itinerary denotes that said feature is not included in the package price. It is, however, available at a supplementary cost.

RESPONSIBILITY: Donna Franca Tours and its employees, subsidiaries, all successors, agents and assignees do not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip including, for example, lodging facilities, airline, vessel, motor coach, or other transportation companies, local guides or guide service, local ground operators, suppliers and/or organizers of any optional excursion, food service providers, etc. All such persons and entities are independent contractors; therefore, Donna Franca Tours is not liable for any negligent or willful act of failure to act of any such person or entity or of any third party. Travelers are also subject to the Terms and Conditions as set forth by their respective airline, rail, and/or cruise line ticket. Car rentals and any program featuring a car rental are subject to the Terms and Conditions as imposed by the respective car rental agency and/or terms as set forth in the country of rental. In addition and without limitation Donna Franca Tours cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay, or damage to person or property in conjunction with our providing any goods or services whether resulting from, but not limited to, acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war or civil unrest, political insurrection or revolt, strikes or other labor disputes, criminal or terrorist activities of any type, injuries from animals, overbooking or downgrading of hotel accommodations, mechanical or any other failure of aircraft, or any other means of transportation, or for any failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive and/or depart on time. Furthermore, Donna Franca Tours reserves the right to change and/or modify the itinerary at any time and for any reason with or without notice and/or to substitute hotels of a similar standard for those indicated in the brochure. Donna Franca Tours shall not be liable for any such changes and/or modifications.
