Explore mindfulness practices and strategies this summer! Join Mindfully Free, Inc. practitioners in exploring scientifically-based approaches for developing focused attention and emotional regulation. Mindfulness means paying attention in the present moment to our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, or surrounding environment. For the sake of simplicity, it can be defined as noticing what’s happening right now. It also includes the intentional nurturing of positive states of mind such as empathy and kindness. Studies find that learning mindfulness benefits children in terms of improved attention, emotion regulation, increased positive behavior, empathy and understanding of others, social skills, test anxiety and stress. Mindful games, activities, yoga and fun will be part of every session!

1980s MOVIE MATINEE: Saturdays, July 14 and 28 from 4:00-6:00pm. Take a break from the warm weather and travel back to the 1980s with two of our favorite movies. On July 14 we will view Oliver and Company and on July 28 we will watch Muppets Take Manhattan.

FAMILY RHYTHM ROOM: Saturday, July 21 from 11:00am-12:00pm. Get ready to drum your way through different rhythms on buckets.

1990s MOVIE MATINEE: Saturdays, August 11 and 18 from 4:00-6:00pm. Flash back to the 1990s and join us for two of our favorite 90s movies. On August 11 we will watch The Pagemaster and on August 18 we will show Ferngully.
