iOS - Introduction iOS is an advanced mobile operating system

used by apple devices. Originally unveiled in 2007 for the iPhone. Later on iOS was extented to support apple

devices such as iPad, iPod, Apple TV.

iOS - Features Home screen – The home screen

displays application icons and a dock at bottom where users can pin their most frequently apps.

Multitasking – iOS multitasks with ease. Double tap on the home button and you can see all the background and recent apps.

With the new iOS 7 upgrade, mutlitasking has been taken to a new level, supporting image of running apps and swipe to close.

Safari – The most powerful mobile web browser. Safari is an exclusive browser limited to Apple devices only.

It has all the features of a desktop browser.

Some exclusive of Safari are – Safari tabs- Rearrange your tabs by

dragging and dropping. Close a tab in Safari- Close tabs quickly by

swiping them off the screen.

iCloud – It lets you access your music, photos, documents and more from whatever device you’re on.

iCloud lets you share your stuff with people. For example, create a photo stream and just click share to the friends you want.

Control Centre – Pull-up tray that is available in your lock screen. We can adjust brightness, volume, and other

settings like Wifi, Airplane mode, rotation lock, or Bluetooth.

Offers quick-access apps like flashlight, along with tabs for music, camera etc.

Siri - Siri lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. Ask Siri to do things just by talking the way you talk. 

It understands you say. It knows what you mean.

EYES FREE - Apple is working with car manufacturers to integrate Siri into select voice control systems. Through the voice command button on your steering wheel, you’ll be able to ask Siri questions without taking your eyes off the road.

iOS vs Android What makes iOS better ? Consistensy : iOS is nothing if not consistent. Android fails to be as consistent as iOS. Crashes , hanging , rebooting etc are some common problems faced by android users. While iOS performs magnificently, never crashes.

No Crapware : Sure, you can pick up the Nexus S and get a

phone with no added applications and have an Android phone without any crapware added by the manufacturer, but most people aren't getting their Android phones from Google.

But not everyone buys android phone from google.

iOS assures that you don’t get any crap !

A Well-Designed, Intuitive User Interface: Whether you like Apple's hardware and software

or not, it's hard to argue that they aren't beautifully designed. 

Android can take some time to figure out, and there's a lack of consistency in the way third-party apps operate.

Better Battery Life and Management: Over the past few years, Apple's started to consider battery life to be one

of the most important features of its products.  That's not always something you can count on with Android.
