EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES


• Assist in the identification of environmental and safety hazards • Ensure that where hazards have been identified that the agreed control measures

are adhered to• Ensure guards and other safety devices are maintained in good condition and that

they are kept in position whenever the machinery is in use• Test all safety devices on the machinery they are using at the beginning of the shift

for correct operation, filling in the relevant report sheet• Report all faults and damage to their Supervisor / Foreman or Leadman and

subsequently to Maintenance via the Work Order system• Ensure that all plant and equipment in their possession and under their control is

maintained and in good condition and is not misused



Control of documents - • documents must be approved prior to use, and periodically reviewed, updated and

re-approved• correct documents must be available where they are needed, legible, identifiable

and retrievable• obsolete documents must be removed from points of use and clearly marked if

retained• external documents must be identified and controlled

Control of records - • documented procedure for the identification, storage, retrieval, protection,

retention and disposition of records needed to provide evidence of conformity and effective operation of the management system
