In the Ads Manager menu, select “Pixels” under the Assets heading.

Click the green “Create Pixel” button on the next page.

Give your Facebook Pixel a name.

NOTE: You can only create one pixel per Facebook Ads account.

You’ll get two options to setup the code for the Facebook Pixel on your website.

If you’re using Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, Google Tag Manager, Tealium, or Segment, choose the first option and Facebook will walk you through the integration.

Everyone else can choose the second option to copy and paste the HTML snippet into a webpage’s source code.

Once the code is setup and you walk through the quick confirmation that it’s working, you can use it to create a Custom Audience for Facebook Ads.

In addition to Custom Audiences, you can create one of many different custom conversion events to track by identifying portions of page URL unique to those events occurring.

This will allow you to track effectiveness of Facebook Ads in creating those type of conversion events on your website.
