If you are a college student and you intend to enroll for the 1st Semester, 2015-2016, this guide is for you
provided that you are a 2nd Year to 5th Year student. The use of this guide does not apply to incoming new
freshmen and new transferees.
Overview of the Self-Enrollment Process
Starting with the 1st Semester of School Year 2014-2015 the university adopted a self-enrollment
process for its college students. As a college student you need to familiarize yourself with the process so
your next enrollment will be expedited in a smooth manner. In the process, you will enroll yourself using
the university’s information system (CAMPUS++) and this means that you have to use your own user name
and password to access the system. This is similar to the way you access the Student Portal over the Web.
The self-enrollment process will be conducted within the confines of the HAU campus, using specially-
designated computers located in computer laboratory rooms assigned to each college. It is, therefore,
important for you to make sure that your login credentials work on campus. (Off-campus enrollment may
be an option for the future, but that option is still being studied).
As part of the overall enrollment process, you will use a self-enrollment routine in CAMPUS++ to enroll
the class codes you need. You will do this on your own (although, if needed, Enrollment Advisors will be
available to assist you.)
In this guide you will see a number of references to “the system.” This term refers to the self-enrollment
routine within CAMPUS++ that allows a student to enroll the class codes that he needs. It may also refer to
other CAMPUS++ routines that a student has access to. Generally, it refers to CAMPUS++ itself.
Unless otherwise indicated, all class codes, subject codes, section codes and any associated class
schedule data shown in this guide (as part of screenshots or included in the text of this guide) are not real.
They are used only to help illustrate the behavior of the system.
Enrollment Dates
There will be two periods for the enrollment, identified as Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 is the period
for Block-Section Enrollment while Phase 2 is the period for Free-Select Enrollment. (You need to enroll only
once, either under Phase 1 or under Phase 2.) The specific dates for each period are indicated below:
Phase Enrollment Type Enrollment Dates
Phase 1 Block-Section Enrollment May 27 and 28, 2015
Phase 2 Free-Select Enrollment June 1 and 2, 2015
For each enrollment day, enrollment areas and areas for printing registration forms will be open from
8:00am to 5:00pm with no lunch break.

Access to Class Codes
When enrolling the class codes you need, your access to them is limited to those class codes that have
been created under your college. If you need to enroll a class code that belongs to another college (in a
process called internal cross-enrollment), you will have to do it during the usual Adding/Changing Period,
which is during the first week of classes.
Conditions under which the System Allows the Enrollment of a Class Code
When you use the self-enrollment routine to enroll a class code (either by loading a section code or
inputting the class code itself), the system will allow the enrollment only under the following conditions:
1. The status of the class code is OPEN. You can enroll a class code if, and only if, its status is OPEN.
2. There is no prerequisite violation. This means that the subject code associated with the class code
you are attempting to enroll is checked for compliance with our prerequisite rules. Enrollment of a
class code will be blocked if a prerequisite violation is detected by the system.
3. The maximum units you are allowed to enroll is not exceeded. Students are allowed only up to a
maximum number of units that can be enrolled for the semester. The maximum number is set
individually for each student.
4. The class code being enrolled does not create a schedule conflict with a previously enrolled class
code. This means that the system will not enroll the class code if its schedule will cause a time/day
scheduling conflict with a previously enrolled class code.

Who Should Enroll during the Block-Section Enrollment Period?
Just like in the old enrollment process, students who take block sections are given priority by giving
them the opportunity to enroll ahead of other students who will not be taking all the class codes in one
block section. In terms of priority, block sections are intended for students taking regular loads.
As will be described later in this guide, the college self-enrollment routine in CAMPUS++ behaves
differently depending on whether it is being used under Phase 1 or Phase 2. During the Block-Section
Enrollment Period, students can only enroll class codes by selecting a section code. Adding or deleting
individual class codes will not be allowed by the system. As mentioned earlier, this period of enrollment is
for students who will enroll all class codes under the selected block section.
You are only allowed to initiate and complete your enrollment under one enrollment period (either
Phase 1 or Phase2). Once you have enrolled under the Block-Section Enrollment Period (Phase 1), you can
no longer change your enrollment record under the Free-Select Enrollment Period (Phase 2).
If you enroll under Phase 1, take note of the following rule: After a student enrolls in a block section, he
may later drop any of his enrolled class codes. However, he may not be allowed to add other class codes as
replacements during the Adding/Changing Period.
Who Should Enroll during the Free-Select Enrollment Period?
In the case of enrollment under Phase 2, the system will continue to allow you to select among available
section codes and it will attempt to enroll you in all the class codes under the section you have selected.
However, the system will also allow you to input an individual class code from any section under your
college, which you can do even without selecting a section code. Therefore, under Phase 2, the enrollment
routine has the functionality under Phase 1 with the added capability that allows you to select (or delete)
individual class codes.
All students can enroll under the Free-Select Enrollment Period. Students who enroll under this period
may later drop or add class codes during the Adding/Changing Period, provided that such changes in the
student’s enrollment record are approved by the dean.
Preparations to be made by Students
To prepare yourself for self-enrollment, take note of the following:
1. Since you have to use CAMPUS++, you have to be sure that you can access it by checking that your
username/password combination works. If you are encountering problems when logging in to
CAMPUS++, report immediately to the ITS Office and ask for assistance.
2. In accordance with the degree program you are pursuing, and at what year level you are in, you
need to be sure of the subjects you need to enroll for the first semester. Refer to your curriculum
(available in our website) or consult with your evaluator at the Registrar’s Office for guidance.
3. A class schedule search routine will be made available to you in CAMPUS++. This will enable you
to look at all the available classes for the first semester. However, this search routine will only display
open classes. A description of this search routine is found in a later part of this guide.
4. Whether you intend to enroll a block section or individual class codes, it is a good idea to have a
list of section codes (or class codes) that you wish to enroll, but at the same time, have a list of
alternative choices. As you know, the choice of class codes (and section codes) narrows down as
some classes close when maximum class sizes have been reached. Even if you continue to have
access to the class schedule search routine, it is always a good idea to have a list of backup choices.

Maximum Allowed Units and Year Level of Student
Prior to the start of the Block-Section Enrollment Period, a record for each student is created. This record
sets the maximum number of units that the student can enroll and his year level. This record is called the
“PreAdvising Record.” The two data mentioned (maximum units and year level) are displayed in the student
enrollment page while you are using the college self-enrollment routine. Both data are set by evaluators at
the Registrar’s Office. If you think that one, or both, of these data are set incorrectly, please see your college
evaluator at the Registrar’s Office. Take note that there are some subjects whose prerequisite requirement
is not a subject but a year level standing (3rd Year Standing, 4th Year Standing, etc.) It is, therefore, important
that your year level is set correctly to ensure that the system checks the prerequisite requirement properly.
Enrollment Line Numbers
Line numbers are used to control the sequence of students when they enter the enrollment areas of
colleges. Each line number is valid only for a specific date indicated in the line number slip. Unlike in the
past, payment of the entrance fee is no longer a requirement for getting a line number. When getting a line
number at the Dean’s Office you need to present your student I.D. card. CBA, CEA, CHTM and CICT will be
using line numbers. The other colleges will not.
The issuance of line numbers will be in accordance with the following schedules:

enrollment date and venue(s) indicated in the line number slip.
Enrollment Steps
The enrollment process is conducted using four consecutive steps, except that the last step is optional.
Step 1. Pay Entrance Fee
Payment of the Entrance Fee is done at any of the tellers at the Finance Office. Pay early in order to
avoid long lines.
Step 2. Enroll Class Codes
This is the step where you use a computer in your enrollment area, log in to CAMPUS++, and use the
college self-enrollment routine to enroll the class codes you need. (CBA, CEA, CHTM and CICT require
a line number before you can start with this step.) After you’re done, exit from the routine. Do not close
the web browser and do not shut off the computer.
Step 3. Have Registration Form Printed
After you have enrolled all the class codes you need, proceed immediately to your college Print Area
for the printing of your Registration Form.
Step 4. Get New I.D. Card, if needed
If there is a need for you to replace your lost or damaged I.D. card, first pay the ID replacement fee to
one of the tellers at the Finance Office and then proceed to DJDN-208 to get a new card.
How to Access the College Self-Enrollment Routine
In the following pages you will see screenshots (when used as examples) that show a previous academic
term. Just ignore this previous academic term. In the actual application, the system will always display the
current academic term: First Semester, School Year 2015-2016.

routine. (Note: This routine is only made available during the enrollment days. If you don’t see it, it means
it is currently turned off.)
Validation Checking
Immediately after the enrollment routine is launched, a series of validation checks will be performed by
the system before you are allowed to continue. First, the system checks if you already have a PreAdvising
Record. Second, the system checks if you have already paid the Entrance Fee. Third, the system checks if
your Registration Form has not yet been printed. Fourth, and under Phase 2 only, the system checks if you
did not enroll under Phase 1 and you’re now doing so under Phase 2. Fifth, the system checks if you are
using an authorized computer inside the computer laboratory room assigned to your college.

If you pass all the validation checks stated above, a pop-up window (similar to the one below) will
appear with a requirement to enter a Personal Identification Number or PIN. The PIN can only be inputted
by any of the Enrollment Advisors on duty in your enrollment area. The advisor will first confirm that you
are the owner of the login credentials used in accessing CAMPUS++. He will do this by checking your ID
card. After confirmation, the advisor enters the PIN and the system will let you proceed by giving you access
to your enrollment record.
Caution: Clicking the EXIT button will log you out and CAMPUS++ will return to the Login Page.
If you are allowed to proceed, the Enrollment Page will be displayed.

Loading More Than One Section
The system allows the loading of more than one section code. After the first section code is loaded
(with the system attempting to enroll all class codes under the section), loading a second section code will
cause the system to add on or append all the enrolled class codes from the second section. Take note that
the system will stop adding more enrolled class codes if the maximum units allowed for the student has
been reached.
For some students under specific programs and year levels, it is required that they get the class codes
they need to enroll from more than one section in order for them to complete their total units. This is true
for some students under CASED and CBA. Enrollment of multiple sections by some students is necessary
because some sections are shared by two or more groups of students.
For most students, who are regular and need to enroll in block sections, they will just need to enroll in
one block section. However, there may be block sections whose lab classes close ahead of the other classes
in the block. In this case, additional lab classes may be opened under different section codes and these
classes can be added to the student’s enrollment record by loading the appropriate section code.
If you have to enroll in more than one section, be sure to follow the combination indicated in the
table applicable to your program and year level. Do not combine two or more sections on your own.
Each section code combination in the tables does not have a scheduling conflict, as should be
expected.
Here is an example of an enrollment record where the enrolled class codes came from two sections,
namely, B-401 and A-302.
Available Block Sections for the 1st Semester, 2015-2016
In the tables that follow, you will see the section codes that will be made available to the various degree
programs and year levels in each college. Take note that if you see an entry with two section codes separated
by a plus sign (“+”), it means that, if you are a regular student, all the class codes under those two section
codes should be enrolled.
Since the class schedules for the 1st Semester are still being finalized by your deans, not all section
codes included in the tables may be available at the time of your enrollment. (They may have been set to
RESERVED status and they will not be displayed by the system.) If you are not sure which block section(s)
you should take under your program, consult your dean or program/department chairperson.
The available section codes for the colleges are as follows:

Remarks when a Class Code is Blocked from Enrollment
When a class code is not enrolled by the system, the REMARKS column will show “NOT ENROLLED” (in
red) followed by the reason why the class code was blocked from being enrolled. There are a number of
reasons why a class code may be blocked. The examples below illustrate what these reasons are:
Example of Class Code not enrolled because the class code is invalid:
Example of Class Code not enrolled because it is already CLOSED:
Example of Class Code not enrolled because it is currently RESERVED:
Example of Class Code not enrolled because it has been DISSOLVED:
Example of Class Code not enrolled because Maximum Units Allowed will be exceeded:

How to Appeal a Class Code Blocked from Enrollment Due to a Prerequisite Violation
Whenever a class code is considered by the system for enrollment, a check is made against all the
prerequisite subjects of the subject associated with the class code. The system will check if the prerequisite
subjects have been taken and passed by the student. The subject codes checked are in accordance with the
codes found in your curriculum and as they were entered in our subject code database. If you are a transfer
student, it is likely that the subjects you have taken in your previous school are not in our database. You
may, therefore, be blocked from enrolling a class code because of this situation. If you think that you have
already passed the equivalent prerequisite subject, you may appeal to your dean and he/she will study
your case in consultation with the University Registrar. If your dean and the Registrar approve your appeal,
the class code you need to enroll will be included in your enrollment record by a System Administrator from
the IT Services Office. In any case, it must first be proven that the student has fulfilled the prerequisite
requirement(s) before the class code is enrolled. You may also find yourself in a similar situation if you
shifted to a new degree program. The same appeals process applies to program shifters.
Behavior of Self-Enrollment Routine under Phase 2 (Free-Select Enrollment)
Even if you are not going to enroll under Phase 1 you need to know how class codes are enrolled by
selecting a section code and letting the system enroll all the class codes under the selected section code.
That functionality remains as is under Phase 2. However, under Phase 2 the system will also allow you to
enroll a class code by inputting the class code itself. You can input as many class codes as you need, subject
to the limitations set by the system. You can also delete any previously enrolled class code if you choose to

do so. All validation checks done under Phase 1 will also be done under Phase 2. Once you get pass the
validation checks (including the student identity check), the enrollment page will look like this:
Enrollment Page (Free-Select Enrollment):
As stated before, the system will still allow you to load class codes for enrollment by selecting a section
code, just like in Phase 1.

If you now focus on this part of the enrollment page (with partial screenshot below), you will notice that
there is now an input box under the CLASS CODE column.
To attempt to enroll a specific class code, first make sure the cursor is in the input box, type in the class
code, and then press the Tab key on your keyboard. (Do not use the ENTER key.) After
you do this, the system will either accept or deny the enrollment of that class code. If it was enrolled, your
total number of enrolled units will be updated.
After a class code is processed by the system, a new row is created and a new input box for the next
class code is also created. You can keep repeating this, inputting one class code at a time, until you enroll
all the class codes you need.
Here is an example of an enrollment record with three class codes (from three different sections)
inputted by a student and enrolled by the system:

Class Code Search
While you are in the process of inputting class codes, the system will also allow you to do a class code
search. The use of this search is optional and is limited to the class codes created under your college. Take
note of the presence of the search icon (which looks like a stack of index cards) right below the class code
input box. If you click on the icon, a search window will pop up:
The Institute is set by default to your college (CASED in this example). Normally, you search by Subject
Code. If you use the Subject Description Search input box, you need to enter the subject title. By default,
the Class Code Status is set to “Open” because you can only enroll open classes. The Limit search has the
following choices: Top 5 Items, Top 10 Items, Top 15 Items, and Top 25 Items. This limits the number of
class codes that will be displayed as results from the search. For example, if it is set to Top 5 Items, your
search results, when displayed, will be limited to only 5 items even if there are more items that meet your
search criteria. After inputting your search criteria, click the Go button.
Here is an example of a search done for subject code 1COMM2:

If your search resulted in the display of one or more class codes, you have the choice of picking the
class code you would like to enroll from the list of class codes that resulted from your search. You do this
by clicking the class code you like. For instance, if you want to enroll class code 8050, click on it and the
system will close the search window and put 8050 in the class code input box of the enrollment page. The
system will then attempt to enroll the selected class code just like any other class code that you have
inputted manually. (If you are not going to select any class code, close the search window or click Cancel.)
As stated earlier, the use of this search feature is optional. Use it if you need it. It is especially useful in
looking for all the open classes under a specific subject code when many classes have closed already.
Removing an Enrolled Class Code from the Enrollment Page
Take a look at the following enrollment record:
If you want to remove an enrolled class code from your enrollment record, you can delete it. On the
leftmost column (under the heading Stat) is a square that you can click on. There is a square for each
enrolled class code. Clicking on the square will put a check mark inside the square in the same row of the
class code that you are selecting for deletion. You can do the same thing for other class codes that you
want to delete.

Here is an example showing an enrollment page with two checked items:
After clicking on all the boxes whose class codes you want to delete (two in this example), click on the
Delete all checked items button and the system will execute the deletion. In the example above, the class
codes 8046 and 8049 will be deleted and the updated enrollment page will look like this:
As expected, the total number of enrolled units will be adjusted after a deletion is completed. If you are
deleting all enrolled class codes, you can use the Reset button instead.
Action Buttons
The action buttons at the bottom of the enrollment page work the same way as in Phase 1.

Other Enrollment-related Routines Available in the Main Menu
Subject Schedule Inquiry . Current Enrollment
This is an independent (stand-alone) class schedule search routine. It is always set to the current
academic period. You will be able to look at all the available open classes not only of your college but those
of the other colleges. However, as mentioned before, when enrolling, you are given access only to those
class codes that were created under your own college. Take note that class schedules are constantly being
worked on by the deans for accuracy and completeness even up to the day before the enrollment period.
Nevertheless, because CAMPUS++ is a real-time system, changes are reflected immediately and the results
you see when using the class schedule search routine will be the most current.

Display Own Class Schedule
You already have access to this routine and it enables you to display your current class schedules. During
the enrollment periods for the 1st Semester, 2015-2016, the column for the name of instructor will be
switched off. It will be turned on after the Free-Select Enrollment Period. Faculty loads are expected to be
finalized by the deans before the start of classes.
This Enrollment Guide
There are two file formats for this guide. The HTML version is accessible from the Student Portal home
page by logging in (using your own account) to CAMPUS++ and clicking the link “ENROLLMENT GUIDE.”
The other file format is the PDF version which is available in the HAU Intranet section of our website:
