CIF-SS Original Film Library

and

Three Promotional CIF-SS DVD’s

The CIFSS had a large library in the 1960’s of over 40 films covering rules,

actual game footage and information on the section. These films were

available to all member schools and were checked out from the CIFSS office

on a regular basis. All of these films have been lost with the exception of

few that resided with the Amateur Athletic Foundation. These films (16mm)

were donated to the CIF-SS and were transferred to DVD’s and are now

housed in the CIFSS office (the list of these films is contained in the

Historical Holdings list on the www.CIFSS.org web page).

The CIF-SS office created three (3) promotional films (transferred to

DVD’s) telling the “CIF-SS Story.”

1969 - 25 minute documentary explores the history of the CIF-SS, the

rapid growth and services provided. Ken Fagans, Commissioner.

1982 - 14 minute documentary showing CIF-SS sports, the brief

history and how the CIF-SS organization works. Commissioner Ray

Plutko.

1995 - 5 minute documentary showing sports, Gahr office and

personnel. The CIF-SS organization is explained along with goals and

funding. Commissioner Dean Crowley.
