Festival of India Invitation
Dear Friends,
On behalf of the FOI Organizing Committee, Executive
Committee and Board of Directors, I invite you to attend
the Festival of India. This is a great opportunity for you
to support the temple by actively participating at this spe-
cial community event.
We have a dedicated team of volunteers that has been
busy in preparing a great event for the community to en-
joy. There will be plenty of booths featuring India’s de-
lightful cuisine, ethnic clothes, and authentic jewellery.
India Speaker Bureau has many presentations planned to
keep you engaged throughout the event. As usual, we will
have booths from Walgreens, and others to provide essen-
tial information and services. We may also have CKGS
to help you with the India passport and visa services.
Last but not the least, our cultural team has been hard at
work, coordinating the many musical/dance performances
to delight you through the event. The enthusiasm and
dedication of our volunteers is simply amazing. I am hum-
bled by their efforts and incredibly excited as I look for-
ward to this signature event. Hope to see you all at the
Festival Of India.

ing us pay off our loan in 10 years and encourage others to

Club 500
Many devotees have come to me saying that they missed the boat by not donating towards the construc-tion of our beloved temple. They were not here or they did not have an opportunity to donate, for whatever reason, when we were seeking donations for the construction in the past. Well, the fact is that the opportunity is still available to contrib-ute towards the construction of the Temple. By joining Club 500, your contribution of $500/ year for the next 9 years will go to pay the $3 million that we still owe the banks. This money is used strictly to pay-off our mortgage and no other operational expense. So your Club 500 dona-tions are, in fact, as if you are paying towards the con-struction of the temple. Please join Club 500 today and be counted. God bless you all.

Please refrain from dropping personal items at the temple, including
food other than fruits or prasad, or idols or articles of clothing. The
temple is unable to use these items and this creates an undesirable
situation that often attracts rodents. Thank you.

October 10th — Vaishnavacharya Chandan Goswami visiting
Richmond Temple
Vraj Dham is coming to Richmond by the grace of Vaisnavacharya
Chandan Goswami, who was born and brought up in the holy town of
Vrindavan. Maharajshri is a well-known Acharya of the ancient Shri
Radharaman Temple, near Nidhivan, which follows the tradition
founded about five hundred years ago by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
He is blessed with deep knowledge of scriptures such as the Shrimad
Bhagwatam, amongst many other holy Vaishnav texts. Maharajshri’s
teachings are full of the sweetness and purity of Vraj, like that of the
gopis’ love for Shri Krishna.
The Richmond Temple is very fortunate to host Maharajshri, on Satur-
day, October 10th, from 6—8 PM, where he will bless all devotees
with the divine sweetness of Shri Krishn's sacred lilas. Jai Shri Radhe!
