Belknap COVID Update: We hope this email finds you safe and healthy. By now everyone is fully aware that the ongoing COVID situation is an unprecedented challenge for everyone. We thank you for your continued cooperation in adhering to all the COVID policies and procedures. While we certainly don’t want to overreact, we feel the District has implemented reasonable and responsible safeguarding measures thus far in accordance with CDC guidelines. Your diligence in wearing masks, washing hands frequently, and social distancing has been extremely helpful in mitigating the spread of COVID. It is extremely important to our community that these best practices stay in place. Additionally, please review a Summary of District’s Covid Safety Guidelines by CLICKING HERE. This 2-page reference guide recaps COVID guidelines for our facilities and amenities and serves as a quick reference for you and your guests. Hard copies are also available in the HGRD office. As of this writing, I have not received a response from the Lee County Health Department, CVS or Walgreens regarding whether or not Herons Glen could be considered as a vaccination site or if a company would be willing to come to the community and administer the vaccine to those desiring it. If we do receive a favorable response, we will request some type of reservation system to ensure an orderly flow of people before coming to the Board with a proposal. With respect to positive COVID tests in the community, we will inform the residents should we receive accurate, first-hand knowledge from someone who has tested positive and who can provide pertinent information as to when they were on District property. In keeping with the ADA confidentiality mandate, we cannot divulge resident names. DR Horton Mystic Project Update There is good news on the DR Horton Mystic project front. The Board along with our Attorney, Tom Hart have been working diligently with builder DR Horton related to Horton’s plan to build 15 single-family homes as part of the Mystic subdivision project to the right of hole #18. Horton is finally scheduled to close on Thursday, January 7 and is obligated to finalize the plat prior to March 31 st , 2021. I’ve had multiple requests for information regarding the proposed home sites. If you would like further information from DR Horton, please contact Adam Walden at 239.825.4755. Have a safe and happy New Year!
