This month's free tutorial features three cards using variations on Negative Space and lots of hearts as the focal point, along with the Hearts Collection framelits . Cards featured use the stamp sets You are Loved, Itty Bitty Banners and That’s the Ticket, but you can easily interchange and use your own stamp sets.

Stamping:

Real Red - Center and stamp heart flourish on 3-1/2x3-3/4 Whisper White CS.

Basic Black - Stamp sentiment on bottom right corner of card front, ½” from card bottom. Big Shot:

3-3/8” Heart Framelit -Center and cut heart on (Piece 1) 4x4 Whisper White front panel CS

Lattice Bigz die - (Piece 2 ) 4x4 Whisper White lattice CS

1-5/8” and 13/16” Heart Framelits - 4-1/4x2 Real Red CS

Perfect Polka Dots EB Folder - Real Red framelit hearts

Needlepoint border EB Folder - Bottom edge of Whisper White front panel, in between bottom point of the heart and bottom edge of front panel.

Big Shot:

Corner Rounder - Punch top RIGHT corners (front and back) of card and upper corners of Whisper White front panel

Assemble Card:

Center and glue Whisper White lattice to backside of Whisper White front panel. Trim off excess lattice around edges.

Add temporary adhesive to a couple of spots on the backside of Whisper White heart cut front panel and center over heart stamped flourish. Add permanent adhesive to backside of heart stamped Whisper White CS only and adhere heart stamped CS to front of card front with top of Whisper White front panel centered on both sides of card and ¼” from top of card. Remove the temporary Whisper White front panel from the heart stamped Whisper White CS.

Carefully remove Whisper White front panel from heart stamped CS. Use your 2-way glue pen to carefully glue 1/16x4 Real Red strip in between embossed Needlepoint border images on Whisper White front panel. Use scissors to trim away excess CS on each side of panel.

Add dimensionals to backside of front panel. Re-center heart cut-out over heart stamped image and attach to card front.

Use 2-way glue pen to glue 1-5/8” heart to lattice.

Dimensional the 13/16” heart to the left of stamped sentiment on lower section of card front.

Add (1) large rhinestone to upper left section of large Read Red heart, and a row of (3) small rhinestones across the center of small Real Red heart. Page 2

Early Espresso - Stamp banner sentiment on 1x2 Very Vanilla CS Big Shot:

1-5/8” Hearts framelit - Place heart framelit on Real Red front panel ¼” from left side and 1-1/4” from bottom of panel. Use a sticky note or other temporary adhesive to hold framelit in place while running through the Big Shot. (*Save heart cut-out for punch piece)

Chevron embossing folder -Real Red heart cut-out front panel.

Large Bitty Banner -1x3 Crumb Cake CS

Small Bitty Banner -Stamped Very Vanilla CS Punching (use heart cut-out):

Small Heart -(1) Real Red heart Assemble Card:

Center and Snail Red More Amore Zig Zag DSP to the left side of card, leaving 1/8” around top, bottom and left sides of card front.

Center and Snail Vanilla More Amore hearts DSP to the right side of card, leaving 1/8” around top, bottom and right sides of card front, overlapping left side of DSP over Red DSP.

Dimensional Real Red heart cut-out front panel to front of card over More Amore DSP’s, about 1-1/4” from left side of card.

Snail or dimensional small punched Real Red heart to center of heart cut-out. Dimensional Crumb Cake banner to lower section of Real Red front panel with the right end of banner lined up

with the right side of Real Red front panel.

Thread Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine through silver button and tie in a bow. Use glue dot or dimensional to attach silver button to left side of Crumb Cake banner. Dimensional Very Vanilla stamped banner to Crumb Cake banner.

Add a row of (3) small rhinestones to center of small punched heart.

Stamping:

Real Red - Stamp Valentine sentiment on 1x2-1/2 Whisper White CS Punching (use punch pieces):

Ticket Duo – Large ticket -Stamped Whisper White CS; and -1x2-1/2 Early Espresso CS

Big Shot:

Large Scallop edgelit - Use temporary adhesive to adhere the Early Espresso border panel and Real Red border strip together, centering sides of Real Red border strip on Early Espresso panel, with both bottom edges lined up. Center Scallop edgelit over bottom edges of borders, about ¼” from bottom edges. Hold edgelit in place with sticky note or other temporary adhesive to keep edgelit from shifting while running through the Big Shot. Remove sticky note and peel apart border panel and strip, removing any temporary adhesive.

2-1/2” hearts framelit - 3x3 Real Red CS

13/16” hearts framelit -1x1 Pretty in Pink CS

Scallops Delicate Designs EB folder - Real Red scalloped border strip. Only use the first top three rows of embossing folder.

Perfect Polka Dots EB folder -2-1/2” Real Red heart

Assemble Card:

Center and snail Early Espresso border panel to front of card front.

Center and snail More Amore Red DSP to Early Espresso border panel with even borders at sides and top of Early Espresso panel.

Snail scalloped, embossed Real Red border strip to lower section of Early Espresso border panel and More Amore DSP, leaving even edges on sides and bottom scallops of Early Espresso border panel.

Center and glue doily to front of card front. Dimensional Real Red heart to center of doily.

Stagger and snail stamped Whisper White and Early Espresso tickets together, with Early Espresso ticket behind stamped ticket. Dimensional tickets to lower right of card front, ½” from bottom and 5/8” from right side of card front.

Dimensional Pretty in Pink heart to lower right of Real Red heart, so that the right side of pink heart overlaps the top left corners of tickets.

Add rhinestones to pink heart and stamped Whisper White ticket.

Thread linen thread through buttonholes and tie in a bow. Attach button with glue dot or dimensional to the upper left arch of Real Red heart.
