Cesareo’s Circle will be reading The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. The group will meet on Thursday, March10th at 6:30 pm

Monday Matinee for Grownups: Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Monday, March 7th at 1:00 pmMarch 7th kicks off our new program Monday Matinee for Grownups. On the first Monday of each month, adults are welcome to join us for a film screening and light refresh-ments followed by an informal discussion. Films chosen draw from AARP’s Movies for Grownups selections and will represent a variety a genres. Suggestions for future titles are welcome. Indie Cycle E-Waste Recycling EventSaturday, March 19th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Drop off your electronics clutter for free recycling from Indie Cycle from 10-1. Visit the Indie Cycle website at www.indiecycle.blogspot.com for a full list of accepted items. All tube TV’s, Monitors (CRT) printers and copiers will require a $10 disposal fee per item. A portion of the proceeds from this fee will benefit the Friends of the Greenville Public Library. Indie Cycle will accept cash, check or credit card for the $10 fee.

Children’s Department News

LEGO Club Children ages 4- 10 and their parent/caregiver are invited to attend LEGO Club on Satur-day March 12th from 11:00 – 12:30 pm.Come create, build and share your creations with other kids who are crazy about building with LEGOS! Drop in program, no sign ups are necessary.

Read Across America Day is on Wednesday March 2nd “You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child. “ Celebrate the birthday of be-loved author Dr. Seuss by visiting the children’s room and checking out a book or two written book written by this popular author. You will also find a make it take it Seuss craft to create here or to take home.

PAWS to ReadDoes your child need practice with their reading skills? Here is an opportunity to read with a therapy dog who LOVES to listen to stories! Children ages 6-11 may sign up for one 20 minute session per month. The next session is March 14th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

Bubble DisplayKate Mayer, age seven, will display her Beanie Boos collection in the children’s bubble. Kate wants to show her Beanie Boos collection because she enjoys collecting them!

Bedtime StorytimeChildren ages 3-6 are invited to join us for a special evening story time. Children will hear stories and songs and make a fun craft! Bedtime story time will take place on Wednesday, March16 at 6:30 PM. Registration, which begins March1, can be done at the children’s desk or by phone at 949-3630 ext 2. Children may wear their pajamas!

Share a Story Book Discussion Group This discussion group is for 4th /5th graders and their parent/caregiver, we meet each month to discuss a book we have all read that has been chosen by the children’s librarian. This month we will meet on Wednesday March 16th at 4:00. Please call 949-3630 x2 for more information. See you soon at the library!

After School Art class with Miss AdeleChildren ages 6 -10 are invited to attend an art class with Adele Karbowski who is an artist and teacher. This month will feature a special edition celebrating St. Pat-rick’s Day on Thursday March 17th at 4:00 pm! Please call the children’s room at 949-3630 x2 to register or stop by the children’s room to sign up.

March Fun Facts:March is not only National Craft month and Women’s His-tory month- it is also Sing with Your Child Month! Drop by the library to browse and borrow some of our many entertaining children’s music CDs!

Storyhour Spring Session Registration for the spring storyhours will run from March 21- March 26. The eight week session will be from March 28 – May 27. Turtle Time for children 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 and their parent/caregiver on Mondays. Toddler Story-hour for children 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 and their parent caregiver on Fridays. Preschool Storyhour for children ages 3 1/2 - 5 on Wednesdays. Please call the children’s room at 949-3630 x2 to register or in person anytime.

Rhody Ram’s Rhode Island Adventure by Kerri E. LanzieriPlease join us on Saturday March 26th anytime between 10:00 -12:00 pm to welcome RI based author and URI alumni Kerri Lanzieri. She will be available for book signing and to share her experience writing and pub-lishing a book. This is a drop in program, no registration is required.

Baker AfterSchool Center Need a place to go any afternoon after

school? Everyone in grade 6-12 is welcome. The hours are from 2:00-5:30 on
