We held a July 4th barbeque, as well as participated in the annual Marcum Workplace Challenge at Jones Beach, an event to raise money for many worthy causes, but also, an opportunity to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere. Duro Dyne is very fortunate to have so many employees, as well as customers, who get involved in volunteering and fundraising for many important causes. Instead, Duro Dyne is going to hold our largest fundraiser ever , to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The fundraiser will begin at HARDI in December, and culminate in January at the AHR Expo in Las Vegas. We will be auctioning off machinery, collecting money and raising awareness of this charity, and the important work it does. Unfortunately, each of us has been impacted by some type of cancer, whether ourselves; our spouse or significant other; our child; our parent; our sibling; our relative; our friend. Watching someone close to you suffer, and be subjected to difficult treatments to fight cancer, or for that matter, any disease, is heartbreaking. Often, the most we can do is offer love, solace and support, while feeling impotent. That is especially why many of us contribute to charities and institu- tions that feverishly work to find a cure. At the AHR Expo, in addition to auctioning machinery and raising funds for BCRF, we plan to recognize all of our loved ones who have been afflicted with breast cancer. Please forward us the name(s) of your loved ones who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and we will have their names inscribed in our booth to recognize their struggle. Please email the correct spelling of their full name to: [email protected] Thank you in advance for your support of this worthy cause. Join us in looking forward to the day when no one will ever hear the dreaded words,“You have cancer.” Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones.
