Exclusive, sculptural and feminine. These are the three main features of Arianna Cerrito 2015/16 Autumn/Winter collection which draws inspiration from the many elements that influence the designer’s visionary mind . The first point of inspiration is the peacock which enchants everyone with its colourful and ethereal plumage. Arianna Cerrito’s interpretation of this fascinating creature is the least banal : The peacock’s array of colours are rendered into rich tones of mustard yellow, cyclamen and emerald green, the latter being the iconic colour of the brand and present in each collection, whilst the beak of the peacock translates into the designs as exaggerated collars, and details in pockets and cuffs which pop out of clean and feminine shapes, adding texture and interest. The designs are inspired further by juxtaposition of organic shapes in modern architecture with fluidity of natural elements and a hint of Asian culture. In the vast array of exclusive fabrics created for the maison we can recognise an injection of Far East elements with blobs and spills of oil paint and nail varnish, featuring contrasting yet feminine colours. The textiles used in Arianna's creations are made by best quality Italian manufactures, outstanding artists and sartorial professionals who produce for the biggest brands in luxury fashion, including Chanel, Dior and Valentino. Each season the strong synergy Arianna has created with her valuable suppliers results in contemporary and unique textiles being crafted exclusively for the brand, and the Autumn/Winter 2015/16 line is no different, using exquisitely made textiles and materials of ultimate quality. The fabrics used are based on the relentless search for sculptural and tactile 3D, yet feminine materials. The collection presents a rich variety of precious jacquards, structured and also light-weight silks, and 3D crafted textiles, taking inspiration from Arianna Cerrito's jewel master pieces which are showcased worldwide. The result is a challenging balance of contrasting textures, where different and over lapping textiles fuse and blend together, with the outcome being both pleasing on the eye and complimentary and embracing of the female form.
