QS Bureau is a Johannesburg-based, professional quantity surveying company.
Founded by Fritz Relling and Willie Steyn in 1997, the company’s broad spectrum of
expert services leverages their many years of expertise, experience and passion for
the building industry.
We have a diverse range of building industry experience, specialising in project
management, procurement of material, building and engineering cost control, and
quantity surveying services.

SPECIALISED QUANTITY SURVEYING SERVICES
As the core offering of our business, our quantity surveying functions and services

Preparing estimates and financial viability studies and budgets for proposed
projects
Preparing bills of quantities and other procurement documentation to acquire
fair and equitable tender for projects
Negotiating building contracts
Monitoring costs and reporting to clients during the design and construction of
projects
Determining final costs of projects
Monitoring and reporting on costs related to variation orders and site
instructions
Evaluation of contract claims, extension of time claims, etc. and submission of
recommendations (adjudicating and resolving of financial and contractual
aspects of claims)

QS BUREAU is covered by PI Insurance to the value of R10 000 000.00 to ensure
our clients’ peace of mind. QS BUREAU is registered in terms of Section 11 of the
National Scientific Professions Act 1993 (Act no 106 of 1993) with the Association
of South African Quantity Surveyors.
