Rounded edges boost safety.

    A standout health feature of our Equestrian Centre is an automated horse exerciser. Other facilities include a lunging ring, warm-up arena and an all weather main arena for show jumping and dressage events. The total infrastructure includes 36 stables, feed and wash areas, tack rooms, office, medical rooms, groom accommodation and stylish clubhouse. You will have a perfect view over the arenas from the clubhouse verandah. The interior is an inviting double volume space with two fireplaces, a bar, kitchen and shower facilities, beautifully decorated by designer Stephen Falcke.

    Whether mastering an intricate dressage movement, fine-tuning your jump approach, or enjoying an exhilarating out-ride canter, it is all about moments in the saddle. The accomplished South African Springbok show jumper, Johan Lotter, will be heading up this facility.

    Each residential node provides an idyllic mix of lifestyle-living. Chaise longues are set around the blues of a family-friendly resort pool. There are paddle-shallows at one end, with the promised fun of a central bridge and island; these shallows taper into a deeper section. The pool environs open onto greened parklands, a play area and a park boundary of trees.

    The Deli, beautifully appointed in the Oasis pool surrounds, is a great meeting point. Here light meals, hot and cold beverages, excellent coffee, quick-shop food items and a tempting choice of delicacies are the order of the day.

    Significant development is taking shape at the Cedar Road entrance. This will house a broad range of retail outlets that will be open to both residents and members of the public. In addition, there will be a worldwide brand gym and private schooling, from pre-school to Grade 12.

    There will be a set of owner-managed, specialty stores within our City Centre. They will offer residents a range of conveniences, including a Harrods-style food market.

    Take a deep breath

    Porcupine Park is a nature reserve within the estate.

    Turning the clock back to where the landscape was before people.This is the Herculean goal of Steyn Citys landscape designer Patrick Watson.

    Several initiatives are critical to this re-creation of an entire ecosystem. These include the intensive propagation of thousands of indigenous tree and shrub seeds at our Estate nursery; an owl box project to encourage the return of Spotted-eagle and Barn Owls; the rehabilitation and restoration of wetlands and waterways; the preservation of our wildlife reserve, and the re-introduction of naturally occurring animal and reptile species.

    Since the infrastructure phase began, hundreds of thousands of new trees and shrubs have been planted in the Lifestyle Resort from Steyn Citys nurseries where there is extensive propagation of up to a million indigenous trees. Each year, these plants will extract an estimated

    We have implemented a range of highly sophisticated monitoring systems, together with stringent access control measures, a security force of 100 personnel and our Bobby on the Beat foot patrols.

    All access to the development is through one of our two gatehouse entry points. An electronic tag-scan system will confirm the identity of residents cars; visitors will be subject to strict admission procedures; biometric access control, using fingerprint recognition, will govern pedestrian movement.
