HelloGardenGateFamilies,The Garden Gate PTA strives to enrich the students academic and non-academic environment. We sponsor (partially or fully) many schoolprograms and grants such as: Music Instruction for grades K-3, Library MediaClerk, School Technology Media Clerk, an Instructional Aide for Kindergarten and uppergrades, the Spectra Art Program, Project Cornerstone, teacher grants, Math Night, Science Night,Art Night, Literacy Night, Safety Night, Discovery Day, Book Fairs, Fall Celebration and muchmore. Our school cannot do any of these amazing programs and events without YOUR help. Howcan you help us?
Make a Donation The Direct Donation Drive, is going on right now. This is our main effort to raise moneyfor Garden Gate so that we can continue to support the programs mentioned above. Please make sure tosend back the orangeenvelopes with your donations today! Please also remember to apply for donation
matching if you are given that option at your workplace.
Volunteer The PTA members are mainly parent volunteers, who stepped up to help the school and ourchildren. If you can help out IN ANY WAY, please follow the link here and sign up online.

The contest deadline is Friday, October 5th, however you can turn in yourchilds entry in front of the school office beginning October 1st. Pleaseencourage your children to participate and they will have a great timecreating their own works of art!

SCRIP AND eScripScrip Gift Cards and eScrip are two fundraisingprograms that parents (also family and friends) canparticipate in to raise money for the PTA at NO COST
to the participant. Scrip gift cards can be purchasedon Tuesday afternoons between 1:15 - 1:45 p.m. andalso on Friday mornings between 7:45-8:15 a.m.Scrip is spent just like cash on everyday expenses.
eScrip also provides an easy way to earn money forthe PTA. Participating merchants donate a percentageof purchases to the school. Parents (also family andfriends) should visit www.escrip.com to register theircredit/debit cards, Safeway Card, and PW SupermarketCard. Be sure to specify Garden Gate ElementarySchool (eScrip number is 139188329.) For those whodont have internet access, please fill out and turn in aneScrip registration form (available during scrip sales

VISITING CAMPUSAll visitors on campus, whether entering classrooms asvolunteers or meeting with teachers, Must Sign In atthe office and obtain a visitors name tag when school
is in session. For the safety of all, we need to knowwho is on the campus. The only exceptions are atstudent arrival and dismissal times. If you are takingyour child out of school for any reason, ALWAYS signyour child out from school through the office and thenback in when he/she returns.
ABSENCES AND TARDIESAttendance and punctuality are importantin establishing good behaviors andbuilding responsibility in young children.Please ensure that your child is at schooleveryday and that they arrive on time. If
your child will be absent, please call theattendance line promptly (252-5414, ext. 6). If yourchild arrives after 8:00 a.m. they must report to theschool office for a late slip before entering theclassroom. Under state law, three unexcusedabsences or tardies may be considered truancy.

Please look for thesecoupons especially on products by General Mills. Someof the product brands to look for are; Cheerios, FruitRollups, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Cottonelle, Ziplocetc.
LOST AND FOUNDPlease stop by the Lostand Found cabinet that islocated at the rear of theadministrative building
and take a few momentsto check for your lostpersonal items. It is fullwith lunch containers,hats and many otheritems. For smallerpersonal items such as keys, watches jewelry, etc.,please check in the front office.
