Abstract
This research paper is about the power plants in Bangladesh, the sources of energy and
fuels used in the power plants. The important fuels used in the power plants like diesel,
coal, steam, biomass, etc. are also clearly described here. There are various ways to
generate electricity with the help of different types of power plants. To run power plant
various types of fuel is needed. All the power plants in Bangladesh will be considered
and evaluated by their comparison of their cost and efficiency with each other. Each
power plant will be evaluated by their efficiency, capital cost and maintenance cost.
Therefore, decision can be made in terms of their efficiency, cost and showing
comparison between different types of power plants of our country. In this unit, I will
be discussing the concepts of various power plants and their advantages and
disadvantages also.
