This is a TMK Group and RUSNANO joint project aimed at manufacturing seamless pipes with high-precision geometry as well as welded large-diameter pipes for the oil and gas industry.Pipe quality is significantly improved by the addition of nanostructured alloys that boost strength and ductility by 15-20% in addition to

enhancing corrosion resistance. The pipes are designed for use on projects developing unconventional and tight hydrocarbon reserves.Production at Seversky will break 550,000 tons in 2015 with significant export potential.

Novomet’s electric submersible pumps used for oil production now rank among the most energy efficient and reliable in the world. Loaded machine parts post-modernization are 1.5-2x more durable and offer friction levels that are 1.4-1.7x lower, something that is especially important at offshore and complex fields. Novomet pumps are now used at a total of 460 wells and help extract 20% of all Russian crude oil.

Novomet entered the international market four years ago and now has a presence in the North American, South American, Middle Eastern, and African markets. Sales outside Russia tripled from 2013 to 2014, while the company plans to open new service centers in Argentina, Ecuador, Indonesia, the United States, and Kuwait in 2015.Novomet employs about 4,000 skilled and high-tech workers in Perm.

equipment for compressors, oil pumping stations, or other pumping facilities.Introducing nanotechnology to pipe manufacturing extends the service life of equipment at fuel, energy, and power engineering facilities.

The project manufactures super strong springs for railway transport. They enjoy a 30–40% performance boost thanks to the nanotechnology employed in the pro-duction process, can be used at low temperatures, and significantly reduce the cost of rolling stock repair and maintenance. That litany of advantages could even drive a 5% increase in domestic cargo transportation volumes.RUSNANO sold its interest in the project to United Railcar Company (OVK), a strategic investor, in June 2014.

Thermoelectric modules are devices that convert heat energy into electric current and vice versa while eliminating the need for complex mechanisms. Thermointech’s modules can be used when other means of generating or removing heat are not feasible. The company’s main customers are Gazprom, Russian Railways, and Sibur, a chemicals

company. Gazprom has successfully field tested its thermoelectric generators at facilities too remote to be connected to electricity mains, while company products will also be used during construction of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.
