MULTISPECTRAL MONITORINGSYSTEMSELVEES-NeoTek (Zelenograd, Moscow region) www.elvees.ru

Shareholders:• RUSNANO• Senesys, Inc. (USA)

ELVEES-NeoTek creates intelligent systems used for multispectral computer vision that match or surpass the best international alternatives. The company’s main customers are airports, oil and gas companies, housing service companies, and retail businesses. The company’s offering is based on its VIP-1 semantic processor with 40-nanometer topology designed specifically for computer vision systems and navigation. The system created by ELVEES-NeoTek can independently distinguish and classify all object and event types, thus reducing personnel requirements and improving the reliability of monitoring.

The equipment is already in use by a number of leading Russian companies, including Transneft (the Russian pipeline monopolist); Lukoil; Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport; and Alykel Airport, which serves the Arctic city of Norilsk (the world’s largest center for the production of nickel and other ferrous metals). The equipment is also being deployed to monitor traffic and parking: ELVEES-NeoTek systems are able to capture traffic offences like speeding, running red lights, and overrunning the stop line at traffic lights. The Russian Traffic Police has issued a certificate of approval to install the systems on the country’s roads.

Magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) is a universal semiconductor memory that combines the best properties of other memory types (non-volatility, rapid read/write, large amount of write cycles).Crocus MRAM can be used in smart cards, network switches, biometric authentication devices, communication devices, near field communications, and secure, non-volatile memory. The company’s main customers are manufacturers of network equipment, consumer

electronics, automotive components, smart cards, ID cards, electronic documents, industrial automation systems, and electrical equipment for the oil and gas as well as engineering industries. In October 2013 Crocus Nanoelectronics (the company’s Russian division) launched the first phase of a plant designed to manufacture magnetoresistive memory at the Technopolis ‘‘Moscow’’. The first sales were made in January 2014, while Crocus Nanoelectronics expects to generate more than 85% of its revenue from exports.

Shareholders:• RUSNANO• RTI• Sistema

An integrated circuits production plant was jointly set up by RUSNANO and Mikron, the latter of which is the largest microelectronics manufacturer in Eastern Europe.Outputs are focused on the fast-growing segments in the micro-electronics market: navigation systems (GLONASS); industrial electronics; chips for biometric passports and other personal documents; banking and social security cards; SIM cards; and RFID-tags.

Integrated circuits using 65-, 90- and 180-nanometer technology offer high performance, large memory capacity, low power consumption, and excellent security.Company products are used by the Moscow subway and surface public transport system, Gosznak (Russian manufacturer of coins and banknotes), MTS (Russia’s leading cellular company), and the Russian Space Agency.

The company produces unique infrared optical sensors capable of detecting even small concentrations of hydrocarbon gas, something that helps ensure safety in many industrial contexts. Their selling points include rapid reaction time, durability, reliable operation in high-humidity and low-oxygen environments, non-toxicity, and ultra-low power consumption. Praise for those features has been forthcoming in Russia and abroad, enabling Optosense

to export its sensors to the USA and Europe. Since 2013 Optosense has been a key supplier of Gas Clip Technologies, a US-based company that installs the Russian-made sensors in its devices to detect potentially explosive concentrations of methane and other volatile hydrocarbons. Use of the low-energy sensors has enabled Gas Clip Technologies to achieve outstanding two-month battery life in its equipment.

The solutions offered by Compass Networks are based on the company’s proprietary icPhotonics™ technology, one which uses a unique electro-optical information transmission technique at chip level to drive innovative space- and energy-saving router architecture. The router also maintains a high rate of data transmission and

throughput. The solution is cheap and well suited to a distributed, scalable router system, promising a breakthrough on par with virtual data centers. Compass Networks routers have been successfully tested by Rostelecom, a Russian long-distance telecoms operator, in its networks.
