Records in the fonds were accumulated by members of the firm, most recently by lawyer and historian C. IanKyer, and stored in firm offices. Some records, such as those pertaining to Walter Williston and Hugh Rose, weredonated to the firm by their family members. In January 2009, due to reduced office and storage space, Kyer wasinstructed to destroy or find another home for the material, and arrangements were then made for a donation ofthese records to the Archives of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
