Family Fun Night 2017
Family Fun NightJoin us on Saturday, February 4, 2017 for Foothills Academy’s Family Fun Night - a fun night the whole family can enjoy together. All net proceeds from this event will be directed to the Foothills’ bursary fund that helps all families access the programs and services Foothills Academy has to o�er regardless of �nancial circumstances.
For this evening, guests will have full access to the entire TELUS Spark Science Centre facility. The event takes place from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm. There will be a variety of activities to entertain everyone. In addition to all the regular Science Centre and Creative Kids Museum activities, there will be optional additional activities for all ages. There will be two dome show movies to choose from and the opportunity to go through the Star Trek: The Star�eet Academy exhibit on its opening day. We will be also o�ering face painting, some carnival-style games, family photo booth, opportunities to Spin to Win, bid on Silent Auction items and more!
Optional ActivitiesStar Trek: The Starfleet Academy Exhibit $15 per person
Upon entering the exhibit, you'll become a Star�eet Academy cadet recruit. "Career Day" at the academy will test your knowledge and skills to discover what your true ranking might be as part of the crew of a starship. Will you be a Medical, Engineering or Science O�cer? How about a Commander?
After a hologram orientation, you'll begin a series of simulated science, engineering, medical and command evaluations in nine di�erent zones. As you progress through the training program, your results will be tracked with an individual wristband in order to determine your Star�eet career recommendation.- Learn to speak Klingon- Conduct a planetary survey- Guide the U.S.S. Enterprise through a maze of threats- Test your hand during phaser target practiceThere's something for everyone at Star Trek: The Star�eet Academy Experi-ence.
At the end of your training, you'll graduate and receive your commissioning in the Star�eet. Don't forget to step out onto the bridge of a Next Genera-tion era bridge.

Join us for this live show, exclusive to TELUS Spark, as we travel hundreds of light years into deep space to see where stars are born, where they die, and to discover how they create the energy and elements that make all life possible (including you and me). The journey ends with a plunge into a black hole, so hold on tight!
