Where does the Money Go?Some Background on the Parent Group:

The Wonder Kids Parent Group has existed formall y for 16 years. The veryfirst event that we sponsored was an Open House at the school on October18, 1997. It was a no-cost event (other then the volunteered baked goodsand our time) which was a good thing, since we had no money! Soonafter, we opened up a checking account, held our first fundraiser and havebeen adding to the list of sponsored events ever since!

An ever- changing number of parents get together throughout the yearprimarily to plan and coordinate activities and events to enrich thealready-positive efforts of the schools teachers and administration. Wecoordinate only two major fundraising efforts each year: Family Fun Nightand the Spring Fundraiser (this year it is Popcorn Palace).

Types of enrichment events that we have sponsored, in the past ,with the money that we have raised with events like tonight:

New England Aquarium TidePool Happy FeetKidStock Animal AdventuresRhythm Kids Wiggles and GigglesReading Tumble Gym Bus Ben RudnickMarcus Gale Curious Creatures

....and many countless community programs and events.....

Where do we go from here?

This is your money and this is your school ! Please come to a WK PGmeeting to help plan for the next school years sponsored programs!

Our next meeting is Wednesday, May 8, 2013 . We hope to see you there!
