Governor School is held annually, in mid-June, at ourTraining and Repair Center near Stevens Point WI. Our training sessions start with the basics and go all the way through detailed diagnostics and trouble-shoot-ing. We cover all models and types of legacy governors, many varieties of governor accessories, and modern digital PLC controls. Many of our trainers have decades of field experience and all are the best you will find anywhere in the world. The technical workshop format of our School, with numerous hands-on sessions, makes this your best training choice for either refreshing your maintenance skills or learning governors from scratch.
Unlike textbook-only classes, AGC Governor Schoolsinclude plenty of hands-on sessions with live equipment. Our trainers have decades of experiencebuilding, calibrating and repairing governors, oil systems and auxiliaries. Our Training Center features complete, working examples of a variety of mechani-cal governors including: Woodward Gateshaft, Woodward Mechanical Cabinet and Pelton Mechani-cal Cabinet. We also have a Woodward Analog Electric Test Stand, a working example of a Woodward 20 Series pumping system, as well as many unique and instructive "cutaway" governor assemblies.
