Digital Marine Control

The D-MaC automatic loadcontrol for controllable pitchpropellers is fast and completelystable. Dual dynamics areimplemented in installationswhere the propeller may breakthrough the surface in rough seas.

Signif icant reduction inexhaust smoke is achieved byincorporating turbo pressuredependent "feed forward" pitchand load limits with proportionaldynamics. Optional

PMC's fuel managementsystem is also available.

Basic adjustments for systemstability, RPM limiting, load andpitch for single or multi engineconfigurat ions are easi lyaccomplished using the touchscreen. Critical operatingparameters such as speed/powercurves and interlocks are securedby an access code which isavailable only to authorizedpersonnel.

For pitch positioning, the D-MaC directly controls solenoidvalves on the C.P. propeller O.D.box or controls a PMC pitchactuator with redundant inputsand proportional output.

Engine speed settings areaccomplished in a variety ofways to accommodate variousproject specif ic governorarrangements such as;

Transmitting signals directlyto electronic engines orelectronic governors.

Incorporating I/P units forgovernors with pneumaticspeed settings.

Using PMC electric shaftremote control head providedwith electric and pneumaticoutputs for redundant speedsett ing arrangement asrequired for Woodward PGA-EG governor/actuator.
