“Three years ago we decided to try a trip with UoT Alumni Travel.
In 2008, we travelled to Antarctica. In our bright red parkas we ventured ashore in
zodiacs to get “up close and personal” with a variety o penguins. We saw whales, seals, and spectacular scenery. We even swam in the Antarctic Ocean in a thermally heated
narrow band close to shore. In 2009, we journeyed to Egypt, a long awaited trip which
did not disappoint – the history, pyramids, temples, the Nile, a elucca sail, camel
ride. This year it was Arica – Tanzania & Zanzibar! Our saari experiences have let us
with many special memories – the hippo pool, a wildebeeste giving birth, elephants,
lions, cheetah, leopards, etc. These were our frst experiences with group travel and
we never elt too structured. We avoided the usual stressul situations such as making
reservations, fnding accommodation and guides. On each o our trips we met wonderul
people – our superb guides, the tour directors, and our ellow travellers.”

“The Yunnan & Tibet trip was excellent...
high on our list o truly memorable trips we’ve been on. It was clear that Ken Tham
has a remarkable talent or putting together a varied and interesting trip. He was a
most congenial leader and everyone spoke well o him. The local guides were all o
high quality, especially and most importantly, Dickee in Tibet, whom we rate as one o
the best guides we’ve ever had in our orty years o travelling.”
