Devices for NeuroControl and NeuroRehabilitation

Project Objectives• Demonstrated coexistency

between nano-electronics based diagnosis and therapy systems

• Acceptance by neurologists of neuromodulation devices

• Extension of IEC/ISO 10974• Development of test methods

Unique Selling Points and Business Value• Addresses important societal

challenge• Enabling market acceptance

of electromagnetic therapy• Standardization

Expected Results• Demonstrated coexistency• Standardization input• Test procedures

The problem:Aging of population leads to chronic conditions (Parkinson, epilepsy, stroke survivors and pain management). Currently there is a large reluctance of neurologists to refer to electronic neuromodulators due to their incompatibility with key neurological diagnostic devices and systems.

The approach:Cooperation between experts on diagnostic systems, therapeutic systems and clinical applications to define coexistency requirements.

The solution:Designed coexistency between electronic neuromodulation therapy and neurological diagnostic systems.
